If everything's spiritual then there's no point in having institutions of learning. There's no point wasting time and resources in researches to advance the society. There's no point having hospitals when you can pray every ailment away. Left with people like you in this world, we'd still be in the middle ages because rather than seek objective solutions to problems, you like to save your brain the stress and ascribe the solution to be spiritual which doesn't require much brainpower.

You are the one that need your eyes to be opened if you can't separate objective reality from spirituality. Everything cause has an effect and every effect has a cause and you should understand that not every effect has a spiritual cause.

Most of the things that were once thought as spiritually caused in the past are now understood to be actually not spiritually caused.
For instance people with ur kind of mindset once thought twins were children from demons and even went as far as killing them. But now we know better. With modern science we understand how twins come about. The same thing with mental disabilities, modern science has studied intellectual disabilities so much that we know a lot about it than in the past. We know it can be caused by genetics, fetal alcohol syndrome, oxygen deprivation at birth, low birth weight or premature birth, diseases during pregnancy etc... I just pray you don't have a child that would be needing of medical attention but because you think everything can be dealt with spiritually, you'd be taking ur child from prayer house to prayer house seeking solutions... I feel sorry for such child because he/she would be the one to suffer your gross negligence and ignorance.

It's not the poor boy's fault that his brain is wired to see 17 and think it's 71,not his fault that reading appears so overwhelming..the alphabets musy appear scrambled to him & his brain can't cope.

Think about it,do you think he would choose not to know the difference between 17&71 by choice?

If someone gives you a book and places it upside down,would you be able to read it?

The poor boy must have been struggling for so long,his self esteem must be in tatters.

You and your family should see a paediatrician or a child psychiatrist or psychologist for a diagnosis then hopefully point you to a specialist that manages kids with learning disabilities

You all must be frustrated and i empathise but think of how much your brother is suffering.
