What Pastor Adeboye Said About The Rape And Murder Of UNIBEN Student, Uwa Omozuwa (Photos)

IgbereTV reports that Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, has reacted to the rape and murder of Uwa Omozuwa in one of the branches of his church.

Taking to his Instagram handle, he wrote:

All I can do at this time is to pray for the family of Omozuwa and do everything possible working with relevant authorities to bring the perpetrators to book. I and members of my Family condemn this act strongly and urge everyone to stay calm as we are already looking into the matter and cooperating with the police to establish the facts of the shocking situation . . #justiceforuwa

Rapists deserve to be castrated.

She was raped and killed in the one place where she should have felt safe. I am honestly embittered that a human being can execute such wickedness on a defenceless girl.

I woke up to hear of this terrible news. and I have seen tweets by Nigerians that bleeds my hearts.

Again, as a society, the only people who can question a rape victim’s choice of dressing are her parents, as long as such dressing is not a crime. As a society, the only people that can question the choice of a rape victim’s friends are her parents, as long as she is not aiding and abetting criminals.

Even for the two scenarios above, there actually is a limit.
Your ideal resolve, as members of society unrelated to the
victim, should be to seek justice. When you seek justice for a prostitute that was raped and murdered, you create a deterrence for another criminal who would rape a woman wearing a hijab and covering her whole body.

When you seek justice for a club girl raped and murdered at
the club, you create a system that will deter a criminal going
into the church to commit same. But because you keep asking the wrong questions at the wrong time, more heinous acts keep getting committed.
You dunderheads should have since realised that when push

or the location, but justice. Tragedy is, it is those who are supposed to know better that are pushing this narrative.
