He needs to get a reality check. No mechanic workshop trips and the engine bay looks like a JuJu shrine

Hello wise ones. I plan on buying a Nigerian used Nissan tiida and saw one with a sound engine and gear (engine was replaced last year) but scanned and got a few codes
P0118
P0141
P0340
P0135
How serious are these codes because I don't want to use my hand carry problem. Thanks

They are easy fix, for the camshaft I would advise you buy new OEM not Tokunbo or chinko. That one can get you stranded in enemy territory grin

No Sir, the plastic part that borders the navigation screen and the top/sides of the CD changer. that seems like the only serious plastic part of the vehicle. I have attached for your attention.

Cheers

Good afternoon friends. Sorry, a friend of mine’s 2014 Nissan Pathfinder has ATF power steering fluid leaking profusely. Please can you recommend a competent Nissan Mechanic who can help him out. Location is GBAGADA Lagos.

Thanks in anticipation.

Yes, they're rare. So I just bought an X. The RWD models are faster btw, since they're lighter, but I think I prefer not having my car squirm around when I gun it and it kicks down from 2nd to 3rd.
Despite my wife's car being an X, on WOT, it flashes it's SLIP and tries to squirm abit with slight tyre squeal. Yet it's AWD works very very well and so does the ABS and skid control.

Same as mine. Wonder how much worse it'd be on the RWD models.

With these codes, it may well be, as Autologic has suggested (in your post in another thread), that your vehicle has a CAN (i.e., electrical) issue. Apart from the ECM, your vehicle has a number of other modules controlling the transmission, airbag, ABS, meter & a/c amp, IPDM, Intelligent key, etc. Apparently, the only module you have scanned is the ECM. Of the codes you have listed, the key code here is the electrical U1001. It suggests that the ECM is in conflict with another module (open or shorted harness connection). Three of your codes P0340 (camshaft sensor b1); P0057 (rear oxygen sensor b2), and P0328 (knock sensor) are primarily controlled by the ECM while P0463 (the fuel gauge sensor) and P1574 intelligent cruise control vehicle speed sensor) are jointly controlled by the ECM and the meter and a/c amp. It seems to me then that your problem is the meter & a/c amp (located on top of the audio unit in the dashboard). If the amp is scanned you’d probably pull U1000 (not U1001) or even B2202. I could be wrong and the direction could, in fact, be to another module. So here’s my advice: use a scanner capable of running through all the modules in your car. Any resulting U code(s) will point to which other module(s) that should be checked. You could also check all the fuses in the vehicle especially those in the IPDM in the engine bay and the fuse block inside the vehicle. As for the other three codes (P0340, P0057, and P0328) they play little or no role in your present predicament.

Your BCM codes are undecipherable. Check again. The ABS codes relate to the steering angle sensor. All that's probably needed is a recalibration of the sensor. I'd be more interested in a U code (Uxxxx). For the moment, your intention to change plugs and the fuel pump is not advisable.

Like I said, the major culprit if your car l, is the positive cable adapter, some lines are broken causing CAN failure. Replace or rebuild that adaptor making sure all return cables are well inserted and firm.

The bank 1 camshaft sensor needs replaced too, this will cause the car to crank long before starting or never start. Kindly shift to manual mode and see if it displays 5 instead of 1 on the instruments screen but if you have CAN failure, the instruments screen will not display anything.

The black smoke you see is because the car running very rich, which implies high amount of fuel is being dumped in the cylinders. Stop revving the car until all problems solved. The A/F sensor needs attention to fix this.

Still like I said, the major problem here is Positive Cable Adaptor, it is broken causing CAN failure and black out to the BCM.

Keep me updated for more inquiry.

creating one is a good idea if and only if it won't affect gathering of information in this thread. Also know that NL will have more information always available than WhatsApp

Not always the case.

Club Lexus and Mercedes Benz group on whatsapp has better resources and quicker response than here.
