Boxers of this Era are the best of boxers ... from the way you talk you only watch highlights... Muhammad Ali can not I repeat can not Defeat Anthony Joshua and co.. I have watched a lot of his fight .. he can go a round without landing 4 punches ... I stand corrected...

May weather is not heavy weight so I would disagree . But saying kids this days , lols you don’t know anything about boxing go and sit down .. talk when you watch the boxing itself ...
please don't say this o. if you have watched muhammed Ali at his prime. He was untouchable and at some point it almost feels like nothing could scratch him. Boxing has become more technical in recent time I understand but please dont underate Mohammed Ali. He hold a god-like status in boxing arena.

Ewooooo!!! You talk this one. AJ beat Ali?

You don't know shìt about boxing. Boss rest abeg.

Ali withstood punches from men with punches 3 times stronger than Joshua and was never knocked out coupled with the fact that Ali had the best chin in Boxing. He would let Joshua tire out from punching, Joshua go even miss many sef. Then he would go for the kill.

In all the years Ali fought, he was never knocked out. Never, not even once. Lol. Joshua would have been through schooled. His speed would have been too much for Joshua.

Respect the greats. Even AJ won't say what you just did

Oga stop being naive jare. Which one is pound for pound? Iron Mike has more weight than Mayweather. so that is cheating already. if you want real fight then upgrade his weight to heavyweight(which might be impossible except surgically).
If this happen i can bet that Mayweather will take out Mike Tyson in no time. He doesn't use power like Iron Mike. he is the best strategic boxer to ever exist.
If that’s the case then they shouldn’t be mentioned in a same list, there should be a separate list for each class of weight else we can as well start to compare keke napep and cars in the same breath.

Tyson cannot defeat George Foreman in is prime...when you talk a killer,,,it should be the prime Big George....

Muhammed Ali survive George Foreman after 3 and half years in exile (prison inclusive), he dismantle George even when everyone counted him out,, a big underdog for the big powerful Goerge.........

In Ali's prime age 22,,, Nobody could possibly beat him,,,he was always unscratched,,,

The man that punch like an Heavyweight and float like a Welterweight.....

BTW. The list is incomplete without the lengendary sugar Ray Leonard and Robinson.....and this generation lengend Lennooooox Lewiiiiiiis ....

Tyson never beat any Great at their prime only old fellas like Larry homes and Micheal spinks who retired after....
In boxing, you can only fight who is presented to you. In Tyson's prime he fought the best the competition had to offer but no other boxer in history dismantled opponents like he did, 89 seconds, 5 seconds? Youngest hevyweight champ in history. Spinks an old man? He was 31-0 when he faced Tyson, it's like saying half of Mayweather's victories don't count because the competion was amateurish....lol.

Foreman was great but people still went the distance with him in his prime, in Tyson's prime, no one made it past the 5th round, no one! If not for the greed of money and a mental illness he could have had the best reign in history but I do agree with you, Ali takes the number 1 spot....Muhammad was simply magnificient!

Buster Douglas beat him senseless in his prime. I don't think anybody would say a 26 years old boxer isn't in his prime.

Tyson was good yes, but against bigger men who were not scared of him, who knew how to box properly and to use their reach advantage against him, he was schooled.
He tried sha being only 5'10. He was good but he wasn't even the best in his generation
Buster Douglas match was fixed by Don King, Tyson's promoter. We all know that, afterwards Tyson couldn't take that he had betrayed himself and basically had a mental breakdown, he was never the same again!

All of you saying he is not the greatest don’t watch boxing .. to me he is not , in boxing we have other greats such as Rocky , mike Tyson , Klitcko brothers , Tyson fury , evander holifield ,Ali etc who were heavyweights and great.. Mayweather is not heavyweight but his fights can not be compared with those guys .. he makes the most money but he doesn’t give the best fight

Anyone who says Muhammad Ali is the greatest probably didn’t watch him .. you were told he was the greatest and you accepted it ..

Muhammad Ali do a lot of running around too while fighting..

So who is the greatest boxer ?

The answer is I don’t know ... perhaps we should not have conversations like this because the sports evolves everyday

The greatest is Not to be decided by a random person who uses wealth to judge or those who only watch highlights of big fights or those who were told Ali was the greatest and Never saw him fight even once
Anyone saying Ali ran a lot is a big liar. Ali did run sometimes, but people say it too much that they now believe running was his default style. During his second stint when he was no longer as fast as he was before, he stood and gave a fight.

Watch his fight with George Foreman on YouTube and tell me he was just running.

Oga you lie

Holyfield was Number one heavyweight contender in 1990 , Tyson ducked him to fight Buster Douglas
In 1990, Tyson's prime was already over, drug use, uncontrollable rage and so on. The Buster Douglas match was fixed for him by Don King so that he could make money, it was never about actual boxing. By 1991 Tyson had gone full kolomental and landed himself in prison, that was the end of the real Iron Mike Tyson.

Finally, someone who understands what boxing is.
Those people shouting Tyson don't know how his management fixed weak matches for him sometimes and bow most of those weak opponents already lost before the fights.

Tyson is good but not in the too 5 in my list of best fighters in the heavyweight division not to talk about all divisions put together.
Lol

Their matter tire me. Tyson was good for a while but when the mystery surrounding him died, he wasn't that special anymore

This is Riddick Bowe the first guy to beat Holyfield.

They fought 3 times

Were these guys number 1 contenders during his prime? NO! He fought the best, the only person you can accuse him of ducking was Holyfield. From 1986 to 1990, he fought the best his weight class had to offer. For someone that claims to know howw boxing works, you sure don't sound like it? How can he fight Bowe when he was in prison? McCall? Really? McCall that was Tyson's sparring partner and was promoted by the same promoter Don King? McCall that didn't come into the limelight till Tyson was in jail, that McCall? Mehn you really don't know how boxing works do you? You fight the number 1 contender and some scrubs. Holyfield's prime was before Tyson's prime so how could they face each other? Holyfield was a cruiserweight champion while Tyson fought as heavyweight, how could they meet? It was not until after Tyson went to prison and Holyfield added some weight that they both were in the same class. DO YOU SEE NOW THAT YOU KNOW NOTHING?
Holyfield was the number 1 contender in 1990 when Tyson fought Buster Douglas Jnr instead

THAT SAME YEAR

He was not a cruiserweight at the time as you falsely claimed .

Tyson ducked him to fight Buster Douglas and then ended up in prison

It is not true as you claim that Holyfield became a Heavyweight AFTER Tyson went to prison

He was the World champion before Tyson went to prison having recovered the belts Tyson lost in Japan

Yea you're right, he actually started his heavyweight career in late 89 but still he couldn't face Tyson because Tyson was on a downward spiral. Tyson was not in fighting condition in 1990, his troubles already started hence the reason Buster Douglas and Holyfield fought for the title instead of a rematch with Tyson as stipulated in his fighting contract. Either way you look at it, Tyson was not in his prime in 90, he was a dead man walking thanks to Don King. The prison sentence in 91 just cemented his fate.

Buster Douglas match was a cash grab just like Joshua being outboxed by the fatman. It was a ploy by Don King, nothing more. Holyfield was not a number one contender before Douglas. Holyfield just moved up a weight calss and needed to 2 or 3 fights before Tyson, Douglas was the number one contender in 89 and carried it on into 90.

mike tyson was bad but the thing about tyson is that when he came against real opponents he never won. couldnt beat evander hollyfield and lennox lewis and then buster douglas whooped his ass. he looked vicious against lesser opponents

holyfield and... (laughing out loud) who?! Lennox Lewis? ... abeg, you guys are a comedians as that was indeed funny. Lennox Lewis is the greatest Brit hands down, but nowhere near better than Tyson at its prime, he only won against Tyson that was past his prime (aka after doing time etc) Lewis could have NEVER won against Tyson when he was at the top. EVER!

true... on paper Mayweather is indeed the greatest fighter ever, but now look at De la Hoya's record and tell me how he is on the list and not tyson? this list makes no damn sense!

Judolisco:
what are you saying na go to YouTube watch tyson vs holyfield watch tyson vs Lennox.... D only person that was not included on that list and should be there is Vitaly Vladimirovich Klitschko
who?! i guess we all have our own opinion on the subject.... but i will NEVER EVER put the above dude in my top 20.... not while there are some people like Sugar Ray, Foreman, Frazier, Hagler, Duran, Marciano, jack Johnson, Dempsey etc etc etc

The fact that you think longeviety is the same thing as powerful is ridiculous. You claimed Tyson didn't fight anyone of importance and now you mention Joe Louis, it's almost as if you are talking with both sides of your mouth. I have never disputed that Tyson's prime was short, it was only 3 or 4 years but in those years he didn't beat boxers, he dismantled them. For him not to be in top 10 of all time is plain RIDICULOUS, you don't have to agree with me, this is the beauty of a civil discourse, we can agree to disagree FAM!

After losing to Douglas
Tyson fought twice in 1990.

Look at what he did to Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Gerry Cooney

Yes I mention Joe Louis regarded by many as the greatest Heavyweight champion ever and by others as second to Ali

again, i dont dispute that Holyfield beat Tyson fair and square ONCE... (imho the only fighter who ever did). the Buster Douglas fight was a joke as Tyson had become arrogant and didnt even train anymore for matches as he was winning so easily. the dude fought 37 times and was unbeaten for 4 years... AGAIN: 37 matches in 4 years while being unbeaten!!!!!!

so it did take a hold on him, as he really thought he was invincible. the man was a machine and fought everybody who was there, while fighters of today are running around.... look at Mayweather for example: it took him 10 LONG YEARS to do what Mike Tyson did in 4. aka go for 37 fights unbeaten.
