Donmichaelz:please don't say this o. if you have watched muhammed Ali at his prime. He was untouchable and at some point it almost feels like nothing could scratch him. Boxing has become more technical in recent time I understand but please dont underate Mohammed Ali. He hold a god-like status in boxing arena. |

Donmichaelz:Ewooooo!!! You talk this one. AJ beat Ali? You don't know shìt about boxing. Boss rest abeg. Ali withstood punches from men with punches 3 times stronger than Joshua and was never knocked out coupled with the fact that Ali had the best chin in Boxing. He would let Joshua tire out from punching, Joshua go even miss many sef. Then he would go for the kill. In all the years Ali fought, he was never knocked out. Never, not even once. Lol. Joshua would have been through schooled. His speed would have been too much for Joshua. Respect the greats. Even AJ won't say what you just did |

stanliwise:If that’s the case then they shouldn’t be mentioned in a same list, there should be a separate list for each class of weight else we can as well start to compare keke napep and cars in the same breath. |

adegunahmed:In boxing, you can only fight who is presented to you. In Tyson's prime he fought the best the competition had to offer but no other boxer in history dismantled opponents like he did, 89 seconds, 5 seconds? Youngest hevyweight champ in history. Spinks an old man? He was 31-0 when he faced Tyson, it's like saying half of Mayweather's victories don't count because the competion was amateurish....lol. Foreman was great but people still went the distance with him in his prime, in Tyson's prime, no one made it past the 5th round, no one! If not for the greed of money and a mental illness he could have had the best reign in history but I do agree with you, Ali takes the number 1 spot....Muhammad was simply magnificient! |

tarantino1:Buster Douglas match was fixed by Don King, Tyson's promoter. We all know that, afterwards Tyson couldn't take that he had betrayed himself and basically had a mental breakdown, he was never the same again! |

Donmichaelz:Anyone saying Ali ran a lot is a big liar. Ali did run sometimes, but people say it too much that they now believe running was his default style. During his second stint when he was no longer as fast as he was before, he stood and gave a fight. Watch his fight with George Foreman on YouTube and tell me he was just running. Oga you lie |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by abbey621(m): 2:18pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
omonnakoda:In 1990, Tyson's prime was already over, drug use, uncontrollable rage and so on. The Buster Douglas match was fixed for him by Don King so that he could make money, it was never about actual boxing. By 1991 Tyson had gone full kolomental and landed himself in prison, that was the end of the real Iron Mike Tyson. |

kingkakaone:Lol Their matter tire me. Tyson was good for a while but when the mystery surrounding him died, he wasn't that special anymore |

abbey621:you won't get off so cheaply did Holyfield become World Heavyweight champion in 1990 yes or no? |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by omonnakoda: 2:42pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
abbey621:Who did the real Iron Mike Tyson beat ? He never fought Oliver McCall,Michael Moorer or Riddick Bowe |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by abbey621(m): 2:44pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
omonnakoda:Yes he did by beating a Buster Douglas that was 70 lbs overweight. |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by omonnakoda: 2:45pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
This is Riddick Bowe the first guy to beat Holyfield. They fought 3 times https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TwSMMGEtXY |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by abbey621(m): 2:51pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
omonnakoda:Were these guys number 1 contenders during his prime? NO! He fought the best, the only person you can accuse him of ducking was Holyfield. From 1986 to 1990, he fought the best his weight class had to offer. For someone that claims to know howw boxing works, you sure don't sound like it? How can he fight Bowe when he was in prison? McCall? Really? McCall that was Tyson's sparring partner and was promoted by the same promoter Don King? McCall that didn't come into the limelight till Tyson was in jail, that McCall? Nigga you a joke! |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by omonnakoda: 2:53pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
abbey621:That is not the point the point is to correct the rubbish you wrote earlier. abbey621:Holyfield was the number 1 contender in 1990 when Tyson fought Buster Douglas Jnr instead THAT SAME YEAR He was not a cruiserweight at the time as you falsely claimed . Tyson ducked him to fight Buster Douglas and then ended up in prison It is not true as you claim that Holyfield became a Heavyweight AFTER Tyson went to prison He was the World champion before Tyson went to prison having recovered the belts Tyson lost in Japan |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by omonnakoda: 3:01pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
abbey621:Holyfield was number one contender he ducked him to fight Buster Douglas Exactly how many title defences and how long did this "prime" last? 9 defences ,2 years Please don't call me Nigga |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by abbey621(m): 3:09pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
omonnakoda:Yea you're right, he actually started his heavyweight career in late 89 but still he couldn't face Tyson because Tyson was on a downward spiral. Tyson was not in fighting condition in 1990, his troubles already started hence the reason Buster Douglas and Holyfield fought for the title instead of a rematch with Tyson as stipulated in his fighting contract. Either way you look at it, Tyson was not in his prime in 90, he was a dead man walking thanks to Don King. The prison sentence in 91 just cemented his fate. |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by abbey621(m): 3:17pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
omonnakoda:Buster Douglas match was a cash grab just like Joshua being outboxed by the fatman. It was a ploy by Don King, nothing more. Holyfield was not a number one contender before Douglas. Holyfield just moved up a weight calss and needed to 2 or 3 fights before Tyson, Douglas was the number one contender in 89 and carried it on into 90. |

SoliBayNG:the video was posted as a reply to someone who wrote:" To beat someone you have to touch them first. I don’t remember anyone stunning Mayweather throughout his twenty three year career". ednut1: lekki1444: senatordave1:holyfield and... (laughing out loud) who?! Lennox Lewis? ... abeg, you guys are a comedians as that was indeed funny. Lennox Lewis is the greatest Brit hands down, but nowhere near better than Tyson at its prime, he only won against Tyson that was past his prime (aka after doing time etc) Lewis could have NEVER won against Tyson when he was at the top. EVER! southpole:true... on paper Mayweather is indeed the greatest fighter ever, but now look at De la Hoya's record and tell me how he is on the list and not tyson? this list makes no damn sense! Judolisco:who?! i guess we all have our own opinion on the subject.... but i will NEVER EVER put the above dude in my top 20.... not while there are some people like Sugar Ray, Foreman, Frazier, Hagler, Duran, Marciano, jack Johnson, Dempsey etc etc etc ***spit on floor*** |

abbey621:Guy You have changed your tune and clearly you are just arguing blindly First you said abbey621:Those are your words Tyson went to Prison in 1991 by which time Holyfield was already Heavyweight champion Admit you were WRONG |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by abbey621(m): 3:31pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
omonnakoda:Didn't you read where I said you were right? Perhaps in your vague attempt at criticism you lost your eyesight ![]() |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by Judolisco(m): 3:37pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
MrBrownJay1:when holyfield defeated tyson twice tyson was at his prime he was unstoppable.. James "Buster" Douglas taught him the lesson of his life and exposed him, m not saying tyson isn't good but not worth the hype |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by omonnakoda: 3:43pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
abbey621:You really are full of contradictions. When exactly was Tyson in his prime ?When did it start and when did it end? |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by omonnakoda: 3:49pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
abbey621:Vague attempt at criticism? How did you close that comment ? You wrote YOU KNOW NOTHING in capitals for remarks that were wrong Mike Tyson defended his title 9 times and at 23 you are telling us he was past his best as a Heavyweight champion? Compare him with Joe Louis who defended 24 or 25 times and you would understand why some of us refuse to count him as a GREAT |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by obentenyson(m): 3:53pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
who dey do all this rankings self? mumu people dey rank May-weather in the same place with heavyweight boxers. he is. it even heavyweight, same as Pacquiao and their likes. this is a senseless ranking.. |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by abbey621(m): 3:55pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
omonnakoda:The fact that you think longeviety is the same thing as powerful is ridiculous. You claimed Tyson didn't fight anyone of importance and now you mention Joe Louis, it's almost as if you are talking with both sides of your mouth. I have never disputed that Tyson's prime was short, it was only 3 or 4 years but in those years he didn't beat boxers, he dismantled them. For him not to be in top 10 of all time is plain RIDICULOUS, you don't have to agree with me, this is the beauty of a civil discourse, we can agree to disagree FAM! |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by omonnakoda: 3:56pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
abbey621:You talk a lot of crap After losing to Douglas Tyson fought twice in 1990. The simple truth is mentally Tyson was weak, he was a quitter when he came up against good fighters |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by omonnakoda: 4:00pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
abbey621:Who were those people he dismantled If you are looking for a dismantler look no further than George Foreman l Look at what he did to Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Gerry Cooney Yes I mention Joe Louis regarded by many as the greatest Heavyweight champion ever and by others as second to Ali Check his record Longevity is important in these sorts of generational comparison |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by MrBrownJay1(m): 4:00pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
Judolisco:again, i dont dispute that Holyfield beat Tyson fair and square ONCE... (imho the only fighter who ever did). the Buster Douglas fight was a joke as Tyson had become arrogant and didnt even train anymore for matches as he was winning so easily. the dude fought 37 times and was unbeaten for 4 years... AGAIN: 37 matches in 4 years while being unbeaten!!!!!! so it did take a hold on him, as he really thought he was invincible. the man was a machine and fought everybody who was there, while fighters of today are running around.... look at Mayweather for example: it took him 10 LONG YEARS to do what Mike Tyson did in 4. aka go for 37 fights unbeaten. |
| Re: Floyd Mayweather Jnr Rated Greatest Boxer Of All Time by Judolisco(m): 4:05pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
MrBrownJay1:the question u should be asking was who did he fight with in those five years the only big name was Spinks and one other guy I can't remember his name... Nobody asked him not to train vs Douglas |
