femi4:Jesus does not know the hour just as he was not aware the tree was fruitless! Matthew 24:396 and Mark 13:32 But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. femi4:Have you studied a Mango tree before? It has leaves mostly throughout the year. However it has fruits only at the right season! Before a tree grow fruit it first grow leaves. The leaves through photosynthesis produce glucose. 6CO2 + 6H20 + (energy) → C6H12O6 + 6O2 Carbon dioxide + water + energy from light produces glucose and oxygen. So the tree was about to start producing fruits. femi4:This 2nd fig tree parable is unrelated to the fig tree story in discussion. |

AntiChristian:Why is it unrelated, the second fig tree had second chance and he started producing fruits. Comparing mango tree to fig tree shows your knowledge is limited anyway. Stop twisting the scripture: Jesus not knowing the hour was referring to judgement day for humans and not fig tree John 13:1 New International Version It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. John 12:49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. |

New International Version The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. New Living Translation The next morning as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Yes i never argued he was never hungry. He was.But reading the Bible as per event that happened is equivalent to reading a novel. When you read the Bible, try to understand beyond the scenario documented already. The Holy Spirit gives new meaning of a passage if you meditate on it. In that passage, the Bible was trying to point out what happens to anybody who decides to be unfruitful and useless to God. |

femi4:Do figs fruit every year? Growing period - The fruiting cycle is 120-150 days. Some varieties produce one crop per year, others two. Trees have been known to live as long as 200 years. Jesus doesn't know this. And this is similar to Mangoes too! femi4:The Fig tree passage is not symbolic. It is literal. femi4:Moses, Abraham and others too didn't speak of their own. They spoke as God's mouth-piece. |

SIN means BLUNDER! But God is merciful, he will not judge you for what you don't know, that's why he has dispatched his WITNESSES throughout the earth to educate people on those things he will not tolerate when he begin ruling the earth! Galatians 5:19-21 Most things Paul mentioned in that letter may sound confusing. For instance, ©What concerns God when two persons who love themselves feel like enjoying sex? ©Why must they be married before they're qualified to satisfy the urge? ©Why must they be male and female, not homosexuals, lesbians or bestialists? ©What crime has a masturbator committed against God? ©What is wrong in having sex with minors who agreed doing it? ©What's wrong if we had loud parties? ©What's wrong in going to night clubs? ©What is wrong in going spiritual to make ends meet? None of above could be taken as wicked act because it involves no injury! ![]() So many will ask : What concerns God with my own enjoyment? That's why we need qualified faithful men and women who will be fully competent and completely equipped to teach others! 2Timothy 3:16-17 God bless you! ![]() |
