My elder brother has been struggling with this skin condition for a while now,since early January..he went for several lab tests and it all came out as filaria(they said it is because of change of water),he schools outside our state of residence...so he treated filaria repeatedly yet this skin condition persist...
It appears and disappears,it appears small like a pimple or rash but when scratched it rises and spreads and it appears all over his body (not the same time tho),it also shows on his head sometimes and very itchy...pls my people,anyone that has experienced this condition,doctors as well,pls help ...thanks

I am not a doctor, but if filaria worm was present, IVERMEKTIN tablets will kill the worms, along with their eggs and larvae. Normal Ivermektin dosage is 4 tablets for an adult, but that dosage can be increased up to four-fold, on the instructions of a doctor.

If I may ask, does this man frequent a river or swamp ? Those are the most likely places to get bitten by flies that are hosts of filaria eggs.

he took diethycarbamazine and ivermetin for the filaria..no,he has never been to a river or swamp in years

it normally happen when ones is in a unfavorable places...... but you people don't know much of this everyday occurrence shows the level of your naivety...... bath him with bitter leaf and palm wine..... on god, it vanish in two days

that's what they called "okitipi" in my place...... let him rinse bitter leafs in palm wine..... and then take a bath with it, he should also drinks part of it also....... may you wound me if it doesn't vanish in two days

It looks kinda like your brother may have some type of allergy. Has he tried to change soaps, detergent, body cream since all of this started? Has he had an allergy test of some sort done? Next time you go see a doctor, I would throw the word "skin allergy" into the conversation somewhere to get the doctor thinking about that as well.
