Racism is the Democrats’ biggest weapon. They become unhinged over any racial controversy. It’s how they get people to support and vote for them. Democrats are not supporters of America or unity in any way.

A little respect for the grieving family.

Do you know the meaning of calling a black person 'Uncle Tom'?

To you and Abbeybailey; this statement was sarcastic. It should be obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together.

How can I call someone who has the same views as I do an Uncle Tom? Was George Floyd’s brother not saying exactly what my sentiments were? If you and Lucas weren’t so bent on looking to score cheap points, logic would have revealed straight away that I was mocking all of you supporting the riots.

Tensions flare between Trump, military figures over handling of George Floyd unrest

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-military-tensions-george-floyd

The tensions between the president and the military figures come as a letter was circulated by Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley Wednesday reminding military leaders about their oath to the U.S. Constitution.

"Every member of the U.S. military swears an oath to support and defend the Constitution and the values embedded within it. This document is founded on the essential principle that all men and women are born free and equal, and should be treated with respect and dignity," Milley wrote. "As members of the Joint Force – composed of all races, colors, and creeds – you embody the ideals of our Constitution. Please remind all of our troops and leaders that we will uphold the values of our nation, and operate consistent with national laws and our own high standards of conduct at all times."

Emperor Trump may be losing the support of his generals,

And some Trump's goons afflicted with self hatred wants trump to send troops on US soil. I keep saying that they are very poor student of history. They most probably have not heard of Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir, Hosni El Sayed Mubarak and Ben Ali. Even Putin (Trump's hero) dare not bring out the army against Russian civilians.

The lootings is wrong, burning the church is wrong. But the point is, much of this could have been averted if the presidency has been all over the place condemning the gruesome act, appealing to the people and speeding up the prosecution process so people's minds can come down a little bit. But sadly, none of this happened.

Calling and speaking with the family of the dead is a step in the right direction, but is not enough. It isn't Floyd's family that's protesting in the street now.

Address the nation, promise changes, and because human beings are the same everywhere, I tell you, many of the people making up the rioters will step on the gasket and a sizable portion of the riot will stop. Before you know it, the riot will die a natural death.

Unfortunately, some blind folks here think Trump don't need to address and plead with the rioters because to them, all of them are Antifas, thugs, and worthy to be shot. That's how you know a crazy fanatic.

I can't believe that someone in this thread could open his mouth to say if the president calls for the prosecution of the cops involved, he would be usurping the powers of the court. Can you imagine?.

This is one of the threads on Nairaland with the most inhumane and illogical thinkers. I give up on this thread.

I, personally, am disappointed in the way Trump handled this situation. I expected him to have addressed in the exact same way Keisha Bottoms of Atlanta did, but he was found wanting.

The Bible says a soft word tempers anger and I expected him to, at least, show some sympathy for the man as soon as the outrage became extra loud. I think he always wants to show the hard side of himself and I also think that, perhaps, he doesn’t see this as a race issue and, as such, cannot understand the outrage considering such deaths aren’t limited to black people.

But he’s a politician now and a mob is a mob, I think his failure to appreciate the general sentiment made him make the mistake of being aloof.

In my opinion, this crisis was poorly handled

Oh really, Einstein?! How does that contradict with the black lives matter movement, or why is it that it is when people say black lives matter, that you guys feel the need to say all lives matter. Who ever said it didn't?! However, there's a clear distinction on how white people are being perceived by the police and how blacks are being perceived by the same police.

With due respect to George Floyd and other blacks killed, the stats would beg to differ.

If this Floyd incident is the basis upon which racial discrimination is determined, it is a poor argument.

Is there racism? Without a doubt.

Are there racist policemen? Without a doubt.

But what is the explanation for white policemen killing white people? Racism? Okay, then.

There’s s video of an elderly black woman condemning the destruction to her business. I’ll look for the link to her video on twitter and post if I can still find it. She asked a question, “if black lives matter, why did you destroy my business”.

Another black woman made a video with the same question after a black man pointed a gun at her for cleaning up the scene of looting and destruction.

It is a sign of death of critical thinking that anybody can support the destruction going on.

Oh my gosh, it's actually scary how many people just come up with statistics without being able to fully analyse them!

White people get more killed than blacks? Of course they do, if you just compare the numbers!

However, it's statistically dubious of you, if you don't first adjust for population, after all white people make up the majority of the population in the US!

Also how r*tard*d do you have to be to say sth like

''Black lives only matter when a white man kills a black man but doesn't matter when a black man kills a black man. ''

First of all, if you truly cared about black people being killed, why not express your outrage? Why is it that it's when others express theirs, you feel the need to ridicule it, by including another element to a deep rooted issue?! One that has been going on for hundred of years!

White people kill white people, black people kill black people, people kill people, but as a police your job is to protect citizens from criminals! However, if your skin color, a mere phenotype is enough for you to be considered a criminal, then sth. is definitely wrong and has to be addressed

Your words encourage the continuation of such incidents, ignoring the fact that our skin color is already being used as weapons against us. I believe the incident of the woman, who called the police on a black man few days ago, claiming she felt threatened by him is still and in fact should still be very much on our minds.

That man could have been you, you mor*n.

I can only hope you fools do not end up like the many black men, who have been killed simply because of their skin color.

Insults do not support your position. It only displays your limited mental ability to logically weigh the facts of the matter.

Calling you an imbeciile doesn’t automatically mean I’m right.

Also, if you do not see something wrong with more black men dying at the hands of other black men as more serious of an issue, your brain needs to be recalibrated.

In the US, black men have the honour of being the highest perpetrators of murder, as well as the greatest victims of murder. Do you not think that’s a bigger issue to tackle?

If BLM are sipping pina coladas when blacks kill the most blacks and whip out their pitchforks when a white person does the killing, does that not signal massive hypocrisy to you?

Your emotions are being used against you and you are too blind and too daft to see it

Stop ranting like a mad woman. I made my comment in response to your post where you made mockery of the blue lives matters which highlights the lives of police officers that have been killed by rioters. You clearly dismissed the blue lives matters as if they don't matter so I told you ALL LIVES MATTER!! Now stop behaving like a mad woman and get sense. It’s just inferiority complex. Every extrajudicial killing is bad be it black on black, white on black, black on white and it should be seen as such. Unless you want to tell me extrajudicial killing has never been perpetrated by a black on white. Or a black has never killed a white.
I repeat it’s inferiority complex.

Quinnipiac poll shows Trump, Biden neck and neck in Texas

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/500952-quinnipiac-poll-shows-trump-biden-neck-and-neck-in-texas

President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden are running neck and neck in Texas, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released on Wednesday, suggesting that the longtime Republican stronghold may be in play in 2020.

The poll shows Trump with a narrow lead over presumptive Democratic nominee Biden, 44 percent to 43 percent, well within the survey’s 2.9 percentage point margin of error.

Among voters from their respective parties, Biden has a slight edge. Ninety percent of Democrats said they would vote for the former vice president in November, while 87 percent of Republicans said they plan to cast their ballots for Trump.

In another positive sign for Biden, independents said they favor him over Trump, 45 percent to 36 percent, according to the Quinnipiac poll.

Fox News Poll: Biden leads Trump in Wisconsin
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fox-news-poll-biden-leads-trump-in-wisconsin

Biden has a 9-point edge over President Donald Trump, 49-40 percent. That’s up from a 5-point advantage in January, and is outside the poll’s margin of sampling error. Another 11 percent are uncommitted.

A big reason Trump trails Biden is lack of party support: 85 percent of Republicans back him, while 93 percent of Democrats support Biden. Eight percent of Republicans defect to Biden. In addition, only 87 percent of those who approve of Trump’s job performance support his reelection.

The president receives some of his highest support from white men without a college degree (+19 points), white evangelical Christians (+29), and self-described very conservatives (+81).

Biden’s lead comes from strong backing among women (+20 points), suburban voters (+14), and independents (+cool.

Biden better not be deceived by this poll.. It’s how the polls said Hillary had a shot in Arizona and Texas in 2916, but both states ended up being carried by Trump.
Biden should save his resources and campaign in the traditional swing states

Being emotional is not an excuse for you not to have common sense. Everybody has condemned the killing of George Floyd but some people want us to ignore the killing of David Dorn, David Underwood and all other law enforcement officers that have been murdered by rioters as if their own lives don't matter.
