This covid19 had messed me up,I came home from school few weeks before the pandemic, Taught physics and maths in 3 tutorials, was making some reasonable amount of money then this covid19 came and took all away....even with the easing of lockdown tutorials refuse to open, I can barely feed myself, sometime its as if tomorrow should not come cause each day just brings more problem...if university opens now m finished, different bills everywhere hostel fee, project(I don leave am for God hand, engineering project consumes money)...Government just brought doom on us by not closing our borders.
0156416105....gtb(it's hard for everybody but if you can assist pls do)
For the purpose of tomorrow, let me advice you.

The best form of tutorial, is homeschooling. It is surprising, that you can't find work in this period, because a lot of schools are out, but kids still have to prepare for WAEC and such. Lockdown was eased weeks ago, if you had a student or two you could homeschool, money would not have been scarce.

If you can write projects and such, advertise online for clients. There are lots of ways to make money off the internet, take advantage of technology, the money from web work does not seize, even in a pandemic. I have been working virtually everyday since this lockdown

I did that immediately d lockdown started, even with the strict restriction of movement in Lagos then I went out in the evening to paste poster advertising my home tutorial,I even advertised some selected subject for junior and primary school, but I was shocked not a single call or message....I don't know if everyone was scared of the virus then or something but I was really disappointed or maybe its my environment

Who else noticed that South Africa has exploded with this Covid-19? Africa recorded its highest figure of confirmed cases in the last 24hours as well as highest deaths!
*World records highest figure of confirmed cases in 24hrs = 129,000+
*South Africa 3,200+ with 56 deaths in one day.
*Brazil 31,000+ with highest deaths of 1,420+
*Mexico 3,900+ with 1,000+ deaths in one day.
*India 9,500+ with 275 deaths highest so far in 24hrs.
*And the US records another bleak milestone of 110,000+ deaths so far.
*Africa recorded 7,000+ plus 156 deaths.
*Ethiopia records 150 highest thus far in 24hrs.

Now, when some say nobody cares anymore, the truth is that a lot of people, if not everyone, still care. If we don't we will not keep up this late at night to check with NCDC.
And truly, some who say so do not really understand what is going on outside. A neighbour suspecting malaria went to a government hospital today. Prior to this pandemic, the hospital used to be so busy that to get ones turn would take several hours. But not so today. Because of the scanty attendance, in a few minutes she was out, not after answering multiple suggestive questions from doctors and nurses who were maintaining a kilometre distance from her.
But on getting to the pharmacy outside of the hospital, she found out that she had to join a queue because of the crowd of customers.
When she returned, she became sober, lamenting this pandemic has really affected a whole lot of things, people patronize the pharmacy more than they do hospitals these days.
When we say we don't care it is only because it has not hit close to home. And naturally humans don't care about illness unless they or someone close becomes ill. Why is it so? It is because when God created humans, they were not to experience poor health if not for the disobedience of our first parents - Adam and Eve. So sickness is a strange phenomenon to humans, we were not created to ever fall ill and we will naturally not care when we are sound in health.

JBoss25:
Ebola sef don come back
This coronavirus has pushed virtually one to the wall, and when humans get to that stage, they bother less. The question on the lips of everyone right now is can it get worse than this? No school for children, those that have graduated have no where to apply for job, those on a job are not sure of tomorrow. The lockdown has crumbled a lot of relationships that would have led to marriage, anyhow grin
Those out of work cannot get enough assistance. Those running private businesses are having a hard time. Those that want to travel out cannot do that. Those with Visas are wondering if situation will not change to affect their visa status. Those that have tested positive are anxiously waiting for relief. Health workers work in fear. Those sick are afraid to go to the hospital. Those who want to cannot fly abroad for medicare. And the cases are increasing, and no one is sure how much that may influence further govt policies. No hope in the oil sector as Nigeria's cost of production leaves her with marginal profit, and yet foreign reserve is plummeting while foreign loans are surging. Imports are trapped and interest on borrowed funds are mounting. It is a systemic paralysis of global socio-economic order. Cases are trapped in the court; those awaiting trial don't know how long they will have to wait. The world has stood still for over 12 weeks now and still counting. So if Ebola comes now it is coming into a world of hardened folks not moved one bit cheesy

I think those screaming SCAM will have to change their tongue then, because this is a bewildering reality no nation can run away from. And I hear the black community there is the hotspot. Sad.

Definitely not a scam in SA, the government has been very transparent and their approach is guided by science. And yes, the government just last week confirmed that most people infected are black. Its frustrating that so many months into this pandemic the black immunity theory still persists in Nigeria. I think that's a recipe for disaster provided the population size and density there - while your testing rates remain so low.

Whatever it may lead to it will largely depend on the number of recoveries at that milestone. If the recoveries are substantial the statusquo may be undisturbed. Although I don't see us not hitting that figure soon, going by the interplay of so many factors.

Government included numerous scientists from a broad range of disciplines in its advisory bodies. These scientists have in turn come up with various possible scenarios and have studied best possible international practice. So thats how we know when the pandemic will peak in SA (September) and which lockdown strategies to adopt. Even such things such as a ban on alcohol and tobacco sales were based on scientific models made at alleviating the pressure on hospitals. So the economic factors have taken a back seat in order to save lives.
