What do you think about nairaland developing an online marketing app to compete with jiji?
I think it will go a long way to better Nigeria online marketing especially when it will be competitive with "jiji", the Nigeria no. 1 online marketing store.
One of the advantage is that it will grow fast especially when some of its traffic will be generated from nairaland forum and will be very competitive

Nobody is against transparency, Dr Adesina himself is solidly in support of transparency but you know that just as you can use the cutlass to clear weeds in the farm, if not carefully used, the same cutlass can be used to cut the yam and other crops you are trying to protect from weeds. In like manner, the ill intentioned whistle blowing, this time around was blown with the intention to inhibit the good development going on in AfDB in favour of Africa and Africans.

So, thumb up for Adesina, Iwealla, and guess the 3rd person...... GMB. Yes GMB for not playing domestic politics with our international interest.
Wish and hope Nigeria will always come together to fight for a common cause this way. That is how to win not when we are divided as Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa. I hope the tribalist on this platform can read this and understand that Nigeria has enormous potential to be very great if we are united in merit and purpose.

Why can't Donald Trump mind his business. He has more than enough problem in the US. He should leave Adeshina and African Bank alone.

Bad belle man and serious racist

What are you insinuating? Was there anything to suggest in the allegations that he embezzled their money? Nothing close to that, rather they are after key appointments, loans advanced for Agriculture and power projects that was competing with Word Bank Projects in Africa etc. Please take time to review the allegations again.
Let me tell you this, Adesina is a first class brain and guess what (but don't quote me), it appears he and Ngozi Okonjo Iwealla are working together to ensure that the areas neglected by Word Bank in Africa are being filled by AFDB which angers the owners of Word Bank. Trying to understand the political economics behind the struggle for the position.

Because what the US is demanding is outside of the SOP / constitution of the AFDB, and even the US will not entertain such calls by others to bend its own rules to satisfy others.

Plus it will be a bad precedent to allow such arbitrary requests.

The AFDB board is now going ahead to incorporate some of the new concerns and things US is asking for in the SOP for future relevance.

That’s how to implement change.

You've been spamming different threads with this post.

Is it bad if you launch your own online store to compete with Jiji?

Or, what exactly will you benefit of Nairaland launch the store?

You think the owner of Nairaland will compensate you or give you a position in the store for this idea?

Meanwhile, some sections on this forum already have a market place.

Adesina should come clean. They should bring independent people to investigate him. This will make him more trustworthy.

Why is he blocking the independent probe if he does not have anything to hide. Please, this is not Nigeria where you do anything anyhow.

Subject yourself to neutral probe so that you can make us proud

And I tell you categorically that it is because of those involvement of foreigners being the watchdog that has kept the bank out of collapse and mismanagement.

Ask yourself, what reputable company has Africa run or built to an enviable international standard so as to compete favorably with its counterparts at the international level?

Africa had built a notorious reputation for running down any business they manage.

Which company from Africa has spanned centuries?

How they run their individual countries will tell you more about their managerial skills.

It is high time you understand that Africa has shown over years that they are incapable.. so they need somebody to be by the side to monitor and scold them...
