He asked for a W202. Not a freaking W203 whose trims fall apart at the next porthole

Hello house, i have a 2010 glk, if i start the car in the afternoon when it's been heat by sun, the AC will not be cold, it will only blow ordinary air, I'd have to turn it of and drive for a while, before turning on again then it will be cool, or I'd turn of the engine multiple times, before the AC becomes cool..... but if i drive the car in the morning before sun heats it, it will be almost automatically cool...... what can be cause?

The rule of using AC in the heat is to first lower your windows and drive for like five minutes while putting the AC on in the 4th minute of constant driving then letting the windows back up in the sixth minute

What a random rule.

Wind down so the hot air escapes. May not even take 30s. Wind up, put your AC on auto and go to where you're going to.

It's nit what's happening to me, sometimes i literally drive for 15 minutes and the AC won't be cool

Check that all your vents are open.
Check that your temperatures are on lowest.
Check that your cabin air filter is still good.

If not, you may be looking at bad HVAC components, or may have run out of gas.

You forgot to upload pictures that show damage area - while you're it, you can include interior pictures of the affected areas if the spirit leads you. As for the car being driven by a female, that's an overused trope on here.

i bought this 2010 Benz GL450 4matic in February this year from another user. The former owner used to drive it to work everyday (less than 5km) and do other errands (picking up of his kids from school and travelling).

however, when ownership was transferred to me, i decided to make it an occasional vehicle i.e. parties and church which is only on weekends just to reduce the cost of fueling and maintenance.

But i met someone (a benz user) who advised against such practice that Benz are like planes designed to be driven everyday and not parked for long. Is this assertion true?

Also, is my current practice of not driving it everyday bad for the car? What are the risks involved?

Most modern cars requires you driving them quite regularly and also for considerable distance and amount of time.
In fact, once a while, take them for a very long spirited drive.

This is to de-carbonize the engine, allow fuel pressure dislodge dirts in the fuel lines and systems, lubricate moving parts and also completely warm up the engine and transmission and differential and others for longevity purpose.

Thanks for the comment. Just a clarification though, i am not a travelling person as i hardly go out of Lagos like that, but to carryout the above, can i drive it to work once or twice a week.

I'd recommend you taking it once a month to places like Ibadan and back, Ore and back.
And like 3x a week to your office and back.

These cars aren't meant to sit at home.

My dear I used to think like you until I realised that Benz engines are built to last... It should be fired.. I mean drive it so hard once in a while... Let the RPM needle do the needful

Drive your card daily, Benz cars are like human, if you don't do exercises the heart wouldn't pump well and if the heart dokt pump well, sickness comes ...

Do you know what it Italian tine up? It is drive it like you stole it... Take the car for a spin !

Italian tuneup is a slang automotive term for attempting to restore engine performance by driving a car at high engine speed (RPM) and load.

The term originated from Italian mechanics in the 1950s using this practice to burn off carbon deposits from the spark plugs of sports cars - Wikipedia
