Now, I know that there's no section on Nairaland for atheists, maybe because atheism is not a religion or whatever. That's no excuse to start spamming every Christian thread.

You call yourselves intellectuals, but you derail every Christian thread to spread your "religion". Must you preach on every thread?

Now, there are some controversial topics that affect everybody and it's understandable for atheists to comment. But, what are you guys looking for in arguments between churches or between religions. There was a thread of Muslim vs Christian, guess what, there were more atheists there than both religions.

Let Christians enjoy their religion, don't turn every thread into a debate with atheists. You can create your own threads if you feel like having religious arguments. Live and let live.

Enjoy your freedom from religion and let others too enjoy their religions. Not everyone must become an atheist by force.

They're saying they're not religionists but they're here everyday PREACHING even more than religionists do! cheesy

Depsui, I have the capacity to think, the ability to communicate, and every right to share my views concerning any topic. You really don't have a say in what I choose or choose not to discuss.

I take interest in religious beliefs because they are all universally harmful. Believing in nonsense with no evidence primes a person to believe other nonsense ideas without evidence. Critical thinking is the death of religions because when critical thinking is applied to a religious belief, the religious belief cannot stand. Which is why religious people mostly oppose the teaching of critical thinking (like science).

Unless you are actively trying to get fundamentalist Christian sects shut down, your moderate Christianity is just allowing more horrible people to do horrendous acts in your name.

Let’s start by making churches pay taxes. Then let’s put molester priests and vicars in prison. Charge the churches with operating an organised crime ring for protecting rapists and allowing rapists to continue to rape. The laws should apply to churches and ministers and be harsh with its sentencing.

I kind of agree with this. Some Nl atheists aren't just atheists, but also anti religion. Sometimes, I myself am disgusted by some posts that gloat over the pain of others.
A human being dies and you're asking 'Why didn't your God save him? ' etc.
It irks the f out of me!

But, I have also stumbled upon a good number of posts where (mostly Christians) feel the need to prove we're dumb, wrong and in fact sometimes go as far as imposing their beliefs on us.

That is irritating as well

But the problem is condemning the Bible that teaches us how this could become a reality!
There is no culture that's superior to the others, but there is a way we can unite to form a global family of peace loving people. ONLY the Bible has the key to that!
