Hello guys,

I bought a set of tyres (4) 1.5years back. One of the tyres (front) has started gives me issue and my vulcaniser recommends a change but I am not financially buoyant at the moment (I use MAXIX 215*65 R15)

Would it be reasonable to change just the one that is giving me issue or I should park the car and save up to buy another set (4).

Pls don't mind my dumb question. It's my first car, hence, first tire issue.

Also, a tyre seller told me Maxix 215*65 is now 38k :I Is this true?

Just replace the single bad tyre nah. Simple.

As for your price, jiji, konga and jumia can be used to verify any price anyone is giving to you.
BTW, Maxix is just a brand name.

I thought that changing one would have negative effect since the friction won't be at equilibrium. So it does not matter if the other three are older by 1.5yrs?

Just check the thread on the tyres, if the wear indicators are parallel with ridge, time to change or if worn on inside side, due to tracking out of line, replace ..........

You can replace just the bad one and everything will be fine.
