This their guidance is rather coming late after many months of COVID-19 pandemic.

Before now, W.H.O. is that body that the entire international system has conferred upon the responsibility of safeguarding them during any moment of public health crisis - mainly, an endemic health crisis. Consequently, some countries, if not all countries, have strived so hard to contribute their quota - enormous funding - to support their (W.H.O's) course. But in the end, the W.H.O. they all thought would help them fly has no wings.

This current world health situation totally negates the efficacy of the body. It has turned it, in the face of many, a fluke. And because of this, some countries have rescinded their trust in it (W.H.O). As if that wasn't enough, they also rescind their 'lucrative' funding. However, the reason for this is no other than the way the body has been responding to the pandemic since its outbreak.

It is the responsibility of W.H.O. to engage in a rapid, close-fitting approach on China - where the outbreak started - to know what the outbreak is all about. They were supposed to have a stringent protocol to have such a thing done. But the body allowed China to dictate to it what the virus is all about. This was the point I became skeptical about W.H.O having sound protocols to deal with public health issues. I mean, they were supposed to dominate on the health issues going on in China and not be dominated by China on what they are meant for. It made China an advisor, and now, it costs the entire world. It could have summoned courage and retrace its steps earlier, but no; they allowed China to continue to ride herd on on their purpose.

The inability of the body to put what it is meant for first, but allowed itself to be consumed by blind respect for a country, threw away its dignity and proficiency into the mud. Countries no longer regard it and its operations. As a result of this, different countries have taken it upon themselves to look for every possible solution, and see the wait for W.H.O. as a total waste of time. And as of now, we have a lot of purported cures to the virus coming from different countries. Even indigenous, herbal cures were initiated.

Aside from initiating curable solutions, countries have been working tirelessly to contain the spread of the virus. They have implemented stringent directives to contain the community spread of the virus; although, they are still working in-line with the directives dictated by W.H.O. These countries made compulsory the use of nose mask in public places, even as W.H.O. was still being skeptical about the proficiency of the nose mask in curtailing the spread of the virus. And these countries continue to do things that W.H.O. refrains them from doing.

Despite the fact that the virus is still hunting really hard, some countries have taken bold steps to return life back to their societies and people. Lockdown could be productive means of containing the virus, but they see it as a danger to their economy - a bad economy would lead to bad life, and bad life would lead to high mortality rate. Economies need to start! As a result of this, they implemented stringent measures to curtail the spread of the virus, while they reopen their economies. And since its about bringing life back to the societies, they also reopened worship centres.

They (the countries) did all these without minding what the W.H.O. feels, but what's best for their people. They have probably come to a conclusion that: accepting the virus as one that has come to stay, living with it becomes very, very necessary. At this point, it becomes obvious that whatever W.H.O. says, it doesn't matter.

And, now, what the body is saying still doesn't matter.
