I really appreciate the advice and the point that you keep hammering on that i ask for the GCMS note. Also a quick note that the latter was the application for sponsorship while the one am applying for now is student visa.

Please note that these people keep records. Remember with your first sponsorship application you must have given biometrics. Once you apply again for anything, everything you ever told them about yourself will come up. Once you have told them one story, you Berra stick to it.
Since you have told them your parents are dead then you have to remain an orphan as far as any visa application to any country is concerned because they share information.

Your best bet, your uncle sponsors you as your uncle (or whatever he claimed to be in the first sponsorship application). If you have other uncles in Nigeria I don’t think there’s anything wrong if they all support as joint sponsors since you are an “orphan” lol.

Just make sure you stick to the first story you told them in the first application. I wish we Nigerians will just stop complicating our lives with unnecessary lies.

He said the sponsorship was for his sister so ordinarily, it’s the sister who would have done biometrics.

Ok that’s a little better. But at the same time he will still have to fill her name as his sibling in the Family Information form. How will they be siblings and she is an orphan while his parents are still alive?

Unless he plans to never list his sister as his sibling in any document meaning he cannot sponsor her neither can she claim points with him later on after he has presumably gotten his PR.

YOUR FATHER isn’t deceased. If you go with the advice of your uncle, this lie will come back to hunt you in the future when you have forgotten. Don’t lie!!! Simply state that your father is alive but you have an uncle who is interested in sponsoring you. Irrespective of whether you bear the same name, you would submit his documents, like data page of international passport and his business documents. Save yourself the stress and explain yourself.

I really appreciate your contribution, i just want to clarify that if i explain myself this can really complicate things for him in any future application.

Hello gurus,

Please advice me on this.

My sister graduated in 2017 with a 3.47cgpa in mathematics,. Since then she has been teaching maths in a secondary school.

Now she wants to dare the Canada hustle. What are her chances for MSc? She wants to go for MSc in mathematics education.
Well, Well, I doubt her chances, cos the minimum requirements for M.SC in Canada is 2nd Class Upper (2.1)
And it also depends if its a Course-based M.SC she's going for or a Thesis-based M.SC

Though her CGPA is almost closer to a 2.1, she can try give it a shot, cos there are applicants in this forum who got a Masters Admission with a 2.2 but it's like 2 out of 12.(With such CGPA for M.SC, I feel its a try ur luck thing cool )

If she's interested in a Thesis-based M.SC in Mathematics, she has to secure a potential supervisor, and if she's accepted, then she can proceed with her admission..

Getting a Supervisor is Paramount ,don't get discouraged by a professor/Dr. that say's he/she ain't accepting students, Keep Firing those mails to other Potential Supervisors of the Schools and Program u are interested in...

U can check out the links below for some helpful tips on

Course based M.SC don't need a Supervisor

Tell her to visit the links below to check out those schools offering Masters in Mathematics, so she will visit the schools one by one and check the program and the Professors/Doctors in the department (she should look for their e-mail address)

@ lucky mama
I did not give any document and any biometric during that application . it was my sister who gave her document . And also this is my first time applying for a student visa in Canada but i have previous travel his to UAE and Kenya. Also i am not planing to name that i have any connection to him and i am supposedly not going to mention my sisters name in my family ties.

As long as you keep your stories consistent. Why does your Uncle want you to use your other uncle in Nigeria as your father? Why can’t he sponsor you as your Uncle? As long as he has the funds?

Most times it is just best to tell the truth.

Besides are you 100% sure that when you get settled you will not wish your parents to come and visit you? How will you ask them over for a visit when you have already listed someone else as your parents? Then what about if your uncle (posing as your father) or any of his children later want to apply for any visas? They will have to remember that you are a member of their family- if they mistakenly forget listing you, they will be flagged as giving wrong information and face ban. Why would you want all these complications?

Already based on the previous story, your sister cannot benefit from you even when you are settled in Canada. Do you want to do the same to your parents and your other siblings? I think you should rethink.

Perhaps I am missing something here. If your uncle in Nigeria has enough funds, why does he have to pose as your father? Uncles do sponsor people don’t they? I don’t really understand how it will complicate things for him.

My uncle in Canada cant sponsor me because is name is tied up in my sisters application and sponsors from Canada are advisable to apply for visa. That was why he suggested that i use him has my father.

Hello house, I already got an admission to University of Winnipeg. This would be my first time applying to Canada. My question is, is it a good idea to wait till vfs opens before I apply for my study permit or it is advisable I apply now? I’m thinking of using the money for the application and medicals to do other important things until vfs opens, since no approval decision can be made yet due to the pandemic. The admission is for winter next year..

Just to add my 2cents to the debate...

I got admitted to a number of institutions starting in fall 2020 and also attended online webinars organized by them. They all advised not to commence online studies without at least an approval of the study permit application.

Also, I think Canada operates a quota system for visa approval and the denial rate for Nigeria has been increasing over the years due to negative perception.

please is transcript mandatory To be evaluated by Wes before reaching the school in Canada? or is there some school that accept transcript without been evaluated by Wes ? please this is very important to me now !!!

U r welcome, It is not mandatory for every university in Canada, it all depends on what each Universities ask for. Different Universities with different Admission requirements & Admission Process. U might need to visit the school website to confirm if the transcript required for Admission is a WES-Evaluated transcript or otherwise, and if u are not sure, send a mail to the international department of that school and that your desired department.

For instance, this is what University of Saskatchewan has to say about Transcripts. Find the attachments below..

Hello, I was in your shoes two weeks ago. I applied for Fall 2020, I was offered to come study resuming Sept 8. After 2 days I wrote the school stating I wish to defer to Jan '21 due to the current pandemic ravaging the world hence I can't meet up.
Luckily, they got back to me, they've revoked my initial admission for Fall semester.
You could do this, so you dont find yourself in a tight position.

Good morning to u all,
I have a challenge with my Online application

I have signed up for a GCKey on CIC and answered all the questionnaires, and I saw that dashboard showing were to upload necessary docs. including the IMM forms, so i have downloaded the IMM forms, So I logged out,

Later I logged in and try to get to that Application Dashboard (Showing the Upload Section), but I couldn't get it, its like its wanting to me start the Questionnaire av done bfor..

Before I logged out, i saw a notification, which says " Can I Save my application and return to complete it later ", If u select the EXIT button, ur information will be saved and u will return to ur account main page. You can continue ur application at any time by logging into your account and selecting the e application link under the In Progress section.

So I tried looking for that " e application link under In Progress Section " I couldn't find it.

I would appreciate if I can get a solution /directives to this issue..

NB: I haven't uploaded any document yet

Thanks..

If you plan to study in Canada with ND qualification then look to College Diploma programs. If you're applying with OND you may apply to apprenticeship program.

You have to go through the questionnaire submission all over. Your answers are already saved, so you just have to be clicking next, next next till you get to the dashboard. Until you pay you application fee, anytime you log out and log in, it will take you to the questionnaire again. I hope this helps.
