Please where and how much can I get brain box for Nissan sunny 010. The car won’t start when engine is hot you have to wait till engine temperature goes back to zero. After changing cold start switch and fuel pump with no change in the condition. I was told the brain box is the issue.

I was asked to pay 10k for scanning. The Rewire said he took it for scan and the brain box is the problem.

Sure. Remember it's a synthetic blend and you need about 4.9L for an oil + filter change.

What caused the engine knock?

If this has not been resolved, then don't bother buying a new engine.

The Pathfinder and FX seem to have the exact same engine, but with different power outputs? What would happen if you put a Pathfinder DE into the FX? Would ECU programming bump power back up to 280 HP?

Generically VQ to the extent that they have similar short engines. Parts and configuration fittings make the difference with the full engine. So it's always advisable to buy the short engine if it's going to be used on another model. That is, if you intend to use the Murano/Pathfinder, etc engine on the FX35 then stop short at the short engine. Of course, the more seamless option is to give the FX35 an FX35 full engine.

Would it be you know so little about cars? You actually saw/knew you were losing engine oil and you decided to take no action. Make sure you buy the very same full engine of your vehicle. Keep unused parts.

VQ35DE engine is starting from 150k to 180k here in Lagos but I don't know of IMO.

I drove the car to church this morning, came back, after about 2 hours, wanted to go get something ,thats when it happened. I have tried the release lock by the gear nothing. The brake light is working well. Pls can it be electrical or is my cvt gearbox gone?

I've experienced something like this once and it turned out to be a blown fuse by the driver side. I'm sorry I can't help you on the actual fuse to look out for but you can replace any blown fuse you find.

Does the car start? Is the steering lock released when the ignition button is depressed?

The car starts fine. Maybe i should lock the steering first b4 starting it to observe the second question.

Tried locking the steering first but it didnt lock. Thats unusual.
