A friend of mine traveled to the USA by gaining admission to New York Film Academy on a short term course of just two months.
I tried it too some couple of years back but I was denied the visa but I believe any other person can try too and made it through.

There should be and ielts might not be required, its a function of information

The beauty of all this short term courses is, you won’t need so much money to reflect on your statement of account because of the duration of the courses. I had a little above 2m my friend had a little below 2m

this is very nice. However, can one stay back in the US after a two month short course?

You have 60 days legit to stay back and can extend beyond 60 days if you got internships in your field of study but the beauty of it is once you have entered once and you returned within the stipulated time on your terms of visa issued, you can carry another course say like 6months duration and you would be issued 2yrs visa.
