Good day Nairaland Family,

Cos we never know who can help/refer, I am searching for an internal control, internal audit, Risk management or IT Control/audit position. I am an accounting graduate with over 5 years experience, I have the CISA and CIA certifications. I am willing to relocate, though presently based in Calgary.

Your referrals and recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Just seeing the attached. Apparently, some people that erroneously applied or double dipped have been paying back. The practice is still the easiest way and most cost effective. CERB claimants would be issued T4s anyway, and they would be owing for excess payment or overpayment when they file 2020 taxes.

I am suprised the Liberal could be pushing for penalties. This is unusual for the Liberal party, or is there something they are hiding? Why are they trying to add fines or jail terms in a pandemic? Like you earlier mentioned, I hope dem hush puppies type gengs haven't been keeping themselves busy with CRA grin

Looks like our suspicions have been confirmed. It's organized criminals that they are after. As for double dippers, worst case scenario would be either payback or clawback as we said.

Saw the below last night too. The woman below discovered that someone had hacked into her CRA account, changed her bank account and applied for CERB. She is on the hook for $6k. She is probably one of many targeted by fraudsters. Sad isn't it?

Sportchek or Lasthunt(online).
Sales usually starts in spring. Sales are still on, but at this time of the year, most common sizes would have sold out, but you never know, you might still be lucky.

Hello, I'm just seeing this information now. Wow, its so eye opening. I have a question though, how long does the work permit application take? Is it up to a year?
NaijaCanadian28:

I’m sorry I’m just seeing this message. Once you begin the spousal sponsorship process, your spouse is eligible for a work permit. You are not applying for a work permit until the spousal sponsorship process has started.

It's easy to get scammed in Canada when you're new and desperate for a job. Don't get scammed. Just like in Nigeria, nothing comes easy in Canada!

It's just for the sole purpose of signing the form. I have seen people in Canada from here, help others send their transcripts/certificates to WES so I thought this shouldn't be a big deal.

From canada.ca: "A custodian is a responsible adult, who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, who will take care of and support the minor child."

Trust me, this is a whole lot more than sending documents to WES. There appears to be a considerable degree of liability involved.

I do wish you luck, though. But isn't it possible for her to defer till she turns 18?

She just became 17 last month, moreover, the majority age in that province is 19. Thank you for the insight. I will see what else she can do.

CPP earnings are based on how much you contributed into it.

Read the article below:
https://retirehappy.ca/how-much-will-you-get-from-canada/

One of the best way to secure a good retirement is when you pay into another pension apart from the CPP. It could be a provincial pension plan or RRSP. If you are lucky, some employers also match pension payments e.g. maybe for every 5% of your wage you contribute toward an RRSP, your employers could top it up with an additional 7%.
