So, as it seem, you can't really address over policing of blacks in US without broaching subject of violent crime rates among blacks. Whenever the subject is raised, it is immediately brushed aside as outcome of blacks' higher poverty rate without considering how it impacts overpolicing and the resulting cases of police violence.

However, I don't think poverty explains it fully. Fatherless homes, lack of role model, and hip hop culture do play roles.

Racism is at an all time low in US history. It can't be eliminated over night. As for equal opportunity, it already exist. Affirmative action and diversity quotas in school and work places serve to even the opportunities between blacks and whites.

Egyptians have been recorded as been among the first world civilizations. The were black.

What about the former Benin, Oyo and Kano Empires. The might have been relatively small when compared but you cannot deny their structures.

Plus, most of the African records have been destroyed since the where passed by mouth and the demise of an individual could mean a part of history has been lost. Meaning most of our breakthrough on science, medicine, social science and art could have been lost. Thereby sending us back.

The Japanese, Chinese, Indians and Arab, if you notice are basically linked by either the same ideology, ethnicity, language and religion.
Come back to Africa with at least a thousand tribes, conflicting religions and different ideologies. If Africans where not so seperated and fought for a common goal. We would have been unitedly strong.

I've been watching lots of PragerU videos on YouTube. I've also been listening to Candace Owens, Ben Shapiro etc.

I've come to realize that a lot of times we as humans (black people in the case now). React and act out of sentiments. Black people in the diaspora enjoy the narrative of haven been slaves and the reparations that comes with it.

Feelings don't count where facts are.

Yeah, but they are definately not the people that reside in Eqypt now. I think the where not as dark skinned as the Nubians but dark skinned nonetheless.

Bro, as for the black egyptian hypothesis, evidence is more on the side of them being black. For instance, Herodotus and a lot of other Greeks historians described the Egyptians as black with Wooly hair. You can easily find this on the Wikipedia page for the Black Egyptian Hypothesis here:

Aside from the Egyptians, another Grand African empire that is undeniable was Axum (A pre-cursor of Ethiopia). It was widely regarded as one of the four great powers of its time. It even conquered the Hejaz (part of Arabia). The other great powers that were contemporaries of Axum were Persia, Rome and China. Also, the great West African Kingdoms of Benin, Oyo, and the Sokoto Caliphates were quite awesome in their own rights. For instance, the Walls of the Ancient City of Benin, is the largest man-made structure in the world, even larger than the great wall of China.

Also note that when the Dutch visited Ancient Benin in the 16th Century, they marvelled at the organisation of the city, and commented that it was quite an Urban city comparable to the cities of Europe, Amsterdam in particular (This was at a time when the Dutch were the pre-eminent European power). Another great African feat is the Zulu Kingdom. If we take scale into consideration, the rate of Shaka Zulu's conquest is quite comparable to the rate of conquest of Alexander the great. This is because Shaka Zulu started with a much smaller base than Alexander the great, and conquered at the same rate. My source for this is the book: How Europe Underdeveloped Africa.

You should also note that the Zulu kingdom, years after Shaka's death, and in a weakened state, was the only African kingdom to defeat the british in battle. This occurred in the battle of Isandhwalhna.

So, in essence, it's not that we never had great civilisations, it's that we don't know much about our history and heritage. Although currently, we should be ashamed of ourselves, but that is not to say that we didn't do great things in the past.

I recommend you read the General History of Africa Series. It's freely available online. You should also check out Walter Rodney's How Europe Underdeveloped Africa.

This is the sort of thread that just goes to show how ignorant some people are. Anyone who has studied the history of black oppression in America would know how oppressed black people have been. Even long after segregation was deemed illegal after being legal for centuries, only a mindless person would think it became illegal in people's minds.

Just this week, a friend who became a double professor in Nigeria got made a professor in a UK university. He had to put in 17 years for it while watching his own students attain professorship and become his boss.

One can only assume op is speaking ignorantly from the confines of his village and never been to America nor read nor studied US race relations.
