cheesy Its every president's wish to reduce the size or even get rid of the legislature so that he can be fully in charge. However, except you are going to resort to draconian measures, the process is so tedious, you will end up frustrated.

Firstly, I'll divide my plans into

1. Long term plan/goals: to be set in motion and then realised/updated even after my tenure by another Head of State(s). These include
a. a means of fighting corruption or reducing it by applying technology
b. a national head count that would be achieved by use of BVN, Voters card, Hospital records
c. Ajaokuta steel company

2. Short term plans/goals: This is to be achieved within four years of my tenure. These include:
a. development of our agricultural sector by engaging experts both home and abroad to give a detailed plan of how we can benefit from our agricultural products, make aspects of it into a world class franchise e.g harvesting cash crops and earning from it right from the farm till it gets to the consumers table. Monopolizing it.
b. Tourism. Thanks to the ideas from Okpepe race, Obudu race and others, we can through infrastructural development turn the water bodies that passes through Lokoja into world class tourist destinations complete with beach houses, international water sports competitions, 4-5 star hotels. This would be achieved also through massive advertising and opportunity for indigenous investors to partake.
c. Infrastructural development. We would start constructing roads and bridges by conducting a survey on the country to ascertain the km of undeveloped road in the country. i.e we are starting construction from the remotest areas to the already constructed roads by using indigenous construction firms and those forms would work on their own locality with strict monitoring by law enforcement agencies. In addition the bulk of the workforce would be indigenous.

I'll try to achieve 80% of these within four years because another fours years is not aspired for by me.

Rather than lampooning every president who is inaugurated, if you were the president of the federation, how'd you make the country what you castigate against?

Let's discuss.
Due to the constitution of Nigeria a president don't have absolute power and autonomy to carryout some certain decisions, this is the reason a lot of President with good intentions get there and don't perform due to the laws that ties their hands and legs.

With this identify the first thing to do is to make the law makers re-adjust the constitution that will give the president the absolute power to carry out every of his good intention.

Haven done that, the next thing is to make politics and it's position unattractive by reducing every expenses, salaries, allowances, and every other thing after all political post is supposed to be a service to serve and not to make wealth.

My next line of action would be to create more states to foster rapid development and urbanization then decentralized government offices and agencies. E.g move the vice president's office to a different geopolitical area, then other govt agencies follows suit.

INEC will be made to reduce the age of people to contest political position, the oldest person would be 60 years youngest 30.

I'll pass a law that will disallow anyone that had first degree outside the country will not be able to contest for political position nor work in government agencies, let them seek employment in private organisation or better still become an entrepreneur. Politicians will be strictly from the grass root.

Let me stop here.

To me, I want to believe our major problem lies in our Constitution. If we can work around the loopholes in the constitution, give states autonomy (for police, power generation, revenue and what have you), remove the quota system for appointments and all, I believe we'll have a good start.

When you talk about the large number of representatives we have, someone will say it's backed by the constitution. Talk about quota system in federal offices, same excuse. Try talking about states getting full autonomy, same thing.

As someone stated earlier, looking at the constitution given to us, it seems the country was created to fail and keep failing right from inception. Unfortunately, the representatives we have are benefiting from it, so can't do anything about it. They will only talk against the system when they've left the post, just like Ben Bruce and other reps who are no more in the system

Let me rant:

I want to state that corruption isn't our problem, corruption exists in EVERY COUNTRY in the world (I stand to be corrected), and I believe it exists more in developed countries, but somehow, Inspite of it, they've been able to get things working for them. How come?

Are we then to give up cos the system won't work for us? Hell No, we can always manipulate the system to our favour, that's what makes us humans and not animals - Ability to carry out critical reasoning

I browse countries that are smaller than some states in Nigeria just to know how they function, I look at their roads, their transport, educational and medical system and I wonder why our governors ain't that bright. Even if you are very dull as a governor, no problems, the citizens have made the mistake of voting you in already, why not surround yourself with people brighter than you and just take the glory, atleast you are the one that put them there. Someone said, "If you are the smartest person in the room, find another room", Henry Ford said "... I surround myself with people smarter than I am", so why can't they do that.

Enough of hiding under the umbrella of the federal government, we already know those ones have their heads up their asses and are more confused than a cat that accidentally ate weed, let the governors take responsibility.

Citizens of Nigeria ain't asking for much really, we just want the basic things of life, social amenities: good roads, light, water and security. Provide these in your state and watch how you write your name in the golden books of history, and not on the pages of Sahara reporters for fraud or in the diary of a godfather as skeleton to be used against you in future.

Many people don't want to be a governor or president (including me), but put them under a dull governor who'll give them the free hand to DO THE RIGHT THING without unnecessary interference and see how they turn the affairs of the state/country around while putting the governor/president in the limelight.

As much as some people might claim to hate this country, as much as some might have bile borne out of prolonged frustration, as much as some have even given up on the country, THERE IS A KIND OF JOY IN YOUR HEART WHENEVER YOU READ A GOOD NEWS ABOUT NIGERIA, no matter the part of the world they are... That means something.

We have to keep hoping, keep believing, keep doing our best and sooner than we expect, we'll get it right.

Security - Decentralise the Police, given the constitution makes provision for that. Establish a zero-tolerance policy in the Police Force and the Military. This approach is a strategy to eradicate the abuse of power by law enforcement on citizens. Push a bill that allows for a jury of citizens to serve as the balanced check that needed to keep the force accountable. This will reinforce the idea of a government by people in the our democracy.
Nysc - Mandatory 1 year military reserve service for all citizens. Eligible for enrollment by the age of 18 and must be completed by age 35.
Citizen database - for identification

Infrastructure - Leverage the service of the enlisted Nysc members in a Govenrment driven accelerated infrastructural development, obviously cooperation with experts. we'll create 3000 miles of roads and 1500 miles of rail line respectively every year. Increased infrastructural capacity will positively impact investments in logistics and transportation and industrilization.
I'll further deconstruct power distribution, will allow distributors to compete for customers without location restriction.

Education enormous investment in Public schools starting from Elementary all the way up to the University. We'll rennovate our schools, provide adequate supplies for the classrooms, build Federal public Libraries in every capital city.
Open up Federal Universities for international research purposes, sponsor research in Medicines, Science and Technology
Incentivize computer and information technology/science/engineering studies all across the country.

Tourism, allow ease of access for innovative ideas from local start-ups, international brands to launch their businesses. this will be another avenue for job creation creation through small businesses, and possible investment opportunities.

And finally use my execute powers to push for a decentralized federal government, and more independent states, a change to the constitution that will define clearly the rights of persons and institutions and firmly uphold those rights with the necessary checks and balance in place.

You are my president (in principle)

For a better Nigeria first I think birth control is number one priority, child security.
Only in Nigeria you will see most people without work but with battalions of children.
If you most give birth first you most be well educated, skilled and most be a workable personality before engaging in family hold if not your child is automatically a government child and the government will make sure you are imprisoned for one year or more with skills training and more.
Secondly reforming secret security services whereby well established in all parts of the NATION both at the local government levels to checkmate all allocations of funds at all levels.
Taking responsibility in everything, having a responsibility of working even with opposition for a better leadership. numerous can't tell all for now.

Let's discuss.

1. Raise money for the national treasury by removing all subsides, especially subsides on petrol and electricity.

This would enable Nigeria save money, and attract foreign investment in our power and petroleum sector.

Also raise taxes, so that Nigeria can have a tax to GDP ratio of at least 20 percent

2. Fight corruption. Aggressively implement IPPIS

3. Spend more on technical and vocational education, with the aim of training a well equipped technical cadre to build our industries

4. Increase tarrifs on imported goods that we already manufacture. Incentives provided to manufacturers including ease of importing raw materials and spare parts... including favorable dollar regimens.

5.End funding for Hajj and Christian pilgrimage. If you want to go on pilgrimage,do it on your own money. Thanks.

6. 10 year plan to link all state capitals by railways, with the eventual aim of privatising Nigeria railways at the end. If possible, loans would be taken to achieve that goal.

7. Tertiary education will no longer be subsidized. Universities would be free to raise fees . Only Polytechnic and colleges of education would be subsidized, and funded. We must train more technicians, primary school teachers , et Al.

8. Federal character at all levels.

9 More funding and training for our special forces and COIN training.

10. The police will be reformed. All policemen must undergo three years training with the aim of getting a bachelor's degree in policing. This training will be reduced to one year for graduate recruits. In addition, efforts would be made to increase funding for the Police. Also efcc, icpc, naptip, dss will be merged into a new agency called the National Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Bureau.which would become a branch of the Police, reviving the old E department.

11. Derivation for oil producing areas will be increased by 10 percent to 23% with an option of further five percent increase, aim towards increased development

12. On power, we must build 3 nuclear power plants, capable and f generating 5000mw each in the next 10 years

Copy and follow the blue print of the Asian Tigers. Invest heavily and restructure the Educational system to make it more practical and productive. Employ only the best in critical areas and give them the relative freedom to work together and harmonise their activities.
Produce demand and buy locally made goods . Eg give interest free loans for housing , garment makers etc ensuring that individuals who obtain these loans purchase only made in Nigeria goods .
Revamp the Judiciary and employ/ retrain /encourage security personnel to ensure Justice
Ensure at least 95% National health insurance coverage , ensuring that local pharmacies ,/industries produce for local demands within 5 years
Leadership by example . The citizens must see that leadership is pro development. No foreign trips abroad for health care.
Privatise (avoiding monopoly) as much as possible.
Give more power to local Governments , ensuring a well structured program of information dissemination from Federal to state and local Governments.
Reach the working class through their trade unions to know how to develop them .
Plant 100 million preferably economic trees within 5 years and stop tree felling for firewood
Restructure and harmonise the procurement system tying making it cheaper!, efficient , and promoting local industries... Eg all Federal, state and local Government vehicles be produced locally by innoson and others who will give government a discount...and backwardly integration

The president of d nation of Nigeria will be selected henceforth from all the region from Nigeria..one tenure each with a road map laid down for the country... Don't come and tell us I would build road, I will create employment...when your tenure is over ur region will not participate in the next election...so on and so forth..five senators each from each region... And after each session, you go back to your region... No more staying back in Abuja.....so many things to do in ds country... Let's start with ds one

Nice on paper. But no civilian president can do that. Not when we run this huge waste called Bi-cameral legislature. Only a very patriotic, incorruptible, and hard military dictator can accomplish that. I used to be for democracy and all that, but Nigeria is not yet ripe for that. The time will come. But we need someone with good intentions to reset the entire system first, and then carry out a well designed hand over.

as a democratically elected president, you cant do that. Those law breakers are the ones to enact the law that would sack them. So how is that possible. You see that leadership isn't easy. The only solution you have is not doable.

I will first change that useless fraud of a constitution .... Down size the legislature that chamber is a money making machine without any work.. My first tenure I will focus 80cent on one project which would be electricity..... My second tenure my focus would be 80 percent infrastructure, which include roads, building of low cost housing estate like alhaji lattef jakande did in Lagos... With that I think have set a good tone for the next person coming....

After many years of in-depth search and study for the solution of this country, I've arrived at the conclusion that our way out is GOD.
so if elected as the president, I'll ignite the altar of God upon this nation, activate the ministry of the angels and then rule by the directives of the spirit.
