since I bought my phone all the updates I have downloaded are not more than 500mb.. but the recent update I received yesterday for V11.0.7 is around 1.8gb which is unusual.. could it be Android 10 update. I am currently on 11.0.6 and I downloaded this one with just 367mb

They might be fixing something that requires pushing the full ROM. You are not alone, the same update was pushed to other R8a users

just go to Google use the keyword "call of duty mobile apkpure". You'd get the direct link, download with ucweb and install using the apkpure app

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 10 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process

There are no noticeable changes on the phone after update. Like someone said, it may be preparing the phone for miui 12. I updated it with the 1.8gig too a few days ago.

I'll recommend you use a download manager to download tho except you have perfect network.

Here's a link to it. You can use adm or uc or any browser that supports resuming download.
