Wow they really went head to head with the g70 just above snapdragon 665
While the resolution of the note 7 was floored by the note 8
One is called flagship while the other is mid range

That's because the term flagship is misused by most people.

A flagship product is simply the best a manufacturer offers at a particular time. In terms of smartphones it's the best smartphone by the manufacturer.

For example the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is Samsung's flagship device, whilst the S20+ is a High-end device. For Apple, the flagship smartphone would be iPhone 11 Pro Max and for OnePlus, the OnePlus 8 Pro and for Xiaomi it's the Mi 10 Pro.

Some people use the SoC in a phone to call it a flagship and that is also wrong. For example the Poco F2 Pro has a SD865 (Qualcomm's flagship processor) but the device is not Xiaomi's flagship product, instead it's termed a Flagship-killer since it bears several features that one would only expect to find on a Flagship or high end smartphone.

By itself, the Infinix Note 7 is an entry-level device, with an entry-level SoC, but it's priced like a midranger and is better than all their current offerings therefore, it can be called a flasghip.

I noticed that redmni note 8 doesn't support band 28 but infinix note 7. This invariably means that areas where Glo operates on band 28, you might not receive 4g LTE however it supports band 3.

Yes unfortunately. Seeing how band 3 is getting more widespread it's becoming less of a concern. The addition would've been great though.

I still don't understand why Glo hasn't connect most areas till date. I enjoy their night plan at N100 for 1gjg though via their mifi

Beats me. The moment Airtel went live with their LTE network it was everywhere that had band 3 LTE coverage. Glo plans are good but very unstable where I live.

I agree. We need a new way to distinguish smartphone classes as more and more sub categories are being formed out if the golden trio, high-end, mid range and entry-level/budget.
