Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET) yesterday released her list of 2020 Award Winners for various categories in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry.

According to the NET, the Award is based on verified Audience Data.

Below is the list of the Award Recipients and the various categories of the Award.

Nollywood Actor/Movie Director, Yul Edochie clinched the Award as the Most Popular Nigerian Actor (2020) while Nollywood bad boy, Jim Iyke emerged as the Most Searched Actor.

Are they married?

For Davido and Wizkid, the organizer, Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET) was smart enough run away from controversy. I am sure Burna boy will not be happy with the organizer.

I disagree on Tiwa Savage's double. Yemi Alade's song with Angelique Kidjo was likely to lead to searches by worldwide fans of Angelique. Yemi Alade should be in there.

I also disagree on Alibaba as the most popular comedian today. No doubt, Alibaba is doyen of comedian in Nigeria but if the keywords are popularity and contemporariness, AY should be in there.

In summary, I think this list looks hastily put together to generate controversy and draw attention and publicity to Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET).
