Yes both crafts are pressure vessels but the stark difference is the direction of forces.

In a sub the weight of water imposes 'crushing' loads from the outside inwards because the density of the air inside the vessel is relatively miniscule being at atmospheric pressure. Therefore subs are very vulnerable to additional external impulsive loads say from explosives detonated in the water.

In an aircraft the reverse is the case. At altitude the air has little weight so imposes miniscule loads on the airframe from the outside. However in order to maintain a reasonable atmosphere for humans to aspirate naturally the vessel has to be pumped full of air and maintained at a relatively high pressure.

Just like the tyre of a vehicle the air wants to escape fast. It doesn't take much to help it escape. So believe me it is very easy to break out of a pressurized aircraft. Why it doesn't happen often is that the laminate glass in windows is extremely tough composite and for additional safety it comes in two layers, sometimes three like in high flying Concorde.

She broke through the polycarbonate inner layer and was perhaps moments away from killing everyone. It is that possible.

LOl..these my ogas dey vex. See, on the outside these issues appear very simple..but when you're in the situation you'd understand how painful some of these things can be.
People tend to make the most irrational decisions or take stupid actions when they're too emotional or heartbroken.

I very much understand what you're saying and I've equally been wondering if she actually broke that window with her bare hands..but this notwithstanding, I'm only looking at the "human" factor at play here. Like I said earlier, we all have different coping mechanisms and our reactions to issues differ.

You sef, you know say someone fit piss you off but you'll just look at the whole kasala and decide to walk away..but for some, my brother wetin suppose happen tomorrow go happen immediately and even have a part 2. That's life, we're all imperfect.
