Boss, thanks for all your prompt replies on this thread.
Here's my Redmi Note 9 Pro(Global Version).
I just unboxed yesterday, and tried updating like you asked, but from the screenshot below, it says no update available.

Plus, on my settings>>Display... I can't find an option to change my font, this default font is killing me..
congratulations, and for the font you will first have to charge your region to India, then head to the themes app and and download any Font and apply.

We have said this here time after time. Change Region to India pick and apply a font. Then change your region back to Nigeria.

Probably because there is no update for your phone. Redmi Note 9s and 9 Pro are different phones with different ROM.

Watch the charger for now. It might be as a result of bad source of electricity.

If only you went few pages back start doing that to avoided repeated questions. I believe for someone seeking for answers going even 20 pages back will teach you one or two things.

A phone is called global version because it was made for the international market which Nigeria belongs to and not a region.

And also don't confuse your self with Xiaomi Indian/Chinese and Global naming schemes focus on Global naming except otherwise. The RN9 series naming was treated in the link below.

You should have asked for a link and download manually with a download manager. Then manually install the ROM

For an update that large, it's advisable to download manually to avoid such occurrences. You'll find this handy just incase you experience any bug after updating, all you'll need to do is to update again using same rom file you already downloaded.

PS, Don't mind my Screen Guard, the one I ordered from AliExpress never arrive yet, and I can't seem to find any here in Benin City Nigeria.
I'll just manage that one until it arrives.

I bought mine in Benin city at Airport road beside Zoro Supermarket and it fits quiet good

You are supposed to update through the updater, I am saying if you know your network is unstable downloading and installing manually is a viable option.

Leave it, if it cancels by itself no problem. You can try turning your data off and on, it might continue.
