Obaseki is not certain that PDP will hand over the ticket to him on a platter of gold knowing fully well that other aspirants will revolt and such will be detrimental to PDP success.
Thus he has to undergo series of consultation to clam would be fray nerves and also negotiate financial returns with all those concern.

After Obaseki's disqualification I had to go read up more about the man and details of his qualifications. I was shocked by my discovery because what I read painted a stark contrast to the image portrayed about him, mostly on social media.

Before now, my impression of Obaseki was the one formed from pictures of him sleeping at various local and international summits and I assumed the man to be from the regular crop of Nigerian politicians. Locally-bred and lacking the repertoire needed to make critical decisions and functions required of a state governor. I guess I was wrong as evidenced in the attached pics.

Pardon my naivete about matters concerning Edo politics, I don't know how well he may have performed thus far, but I strongly suspect that a governor with his antecedents, might be better qualified to improve Edo economically than just the regular crop of politicians. It's just unfortunate that they would come out to disqualify him on grounds that are easily debatable if given a fair hearing. On their claims that his UI certificate is fake because it seems to indicate that he completed his degree program in 3 years, I highly doubt that they have the power to make such claim when the school has not made any claim challenging Obaseki's attendance and graduation from the school. Likewise the NYSC.

I just think Oshiomhole is one of the worst things to have happened to Nigerian politics at the National level, judging by his destructive influences as the party's National Chairman (which a court deposed him of and another court of equal jurisdiction reversed the order).

I bet his legal advisers have showed him the case of Abegunde v Ondo State House of Assembly. He cannot floor-cross to PDP because there is no division at the National level of APC. If he does, he can kiss his seat at the HA good bye.

For those urging Obaseki on, ask yourself how many LG chairmen or party stalwarts have dumped APC apart from his deputy? None. All of them still staying back in APC till this day clearly shows Obaseki is not that popular in Edo politics.
