SenatorJChris: Exactly my point. I thought about all this before I selected "No" ,"No" for the two. But in order to be on the safe side I have reapplied and I have selected "yes" for "are you employed". If God wants it to be mine, it will surely be. Thanks all for your inputs. 3 Likes 1 Share |

This palliative measure (loan) from the FG through the CBN/NMFB is a privilege and not a right, so let's take things easy. Restland: 1 Like |

CuteNbad:Friends, I advice you that recently applied to be calm. I applied late April, forgot about the whole thing. In June I got an sms of approval to accept the loan. I did as instructed. I input my UBA account details. No alert came in. After 4days I was told to use another account. I did so with Access bank, before now I updated the account. Though I was worried. But after 2 days I got credited. Pls, just keep calm. They won't eat your money as long as your loan is approved. For those whose money is credited into NISRAL account, trust me u wil get credited. Just go and submit your bank details. Don't panic. I agree with the guy that said this FG loan tru CBN is a privilege nd not right. So, pls stay positive. God bless you all. 2 Likes |

While I believe he can invest in a new business, CBN doesn't think that way. That is the reason why an applicant is unable to proceed once the "No" option is selected. SenatorJChris: |

freemi: @freemi, Unfortunately, I'm just seeing your response to the guy whose question I quoted below. That field carries an explanation that the response should be in months, but you gave him a very wrong response. If he wants 1 year, the response should have been 12, 2 years will be put as 24, 3 years =36 Please let's not be quick to give answers to questions which we don't really understand. CuteNbad: 1 Like

SenatorJChris: who would give a loan to an unemployed person? whether government or commercial organisation, CBN is giving this loan not as free will grant. they are also out to get their money back and make profit, so what is the different with capitalist? if you actually see the condition given for the guarantors you will understand that this money is never free and they are out to get it back no matter what. |
Re: CBN’s N50bn COVID-19 Fund Disbursement Begins Thursday by Goddys(m): 5:53pm On Jun 20, 2020 |
Please I want to clear some ambiguities. Is the CBN loan 5% interest on a monthly or yearly basis? Assuming I am given a loan of N2.5m, do I pay 5% interest rate of N125,000 just once in a year or every month? I am asking this because other loan apps charge interest rate monthly. Please can someone clarify this 1 Like |
Re: CBN’s N50bn COVID-19 Fund Disbursement Begins Thursday by bolarine: 5:58pm On Jun 20, 2020 |
Interest rate is 5% per annum till February 28th,2021, then it will revert to 9% per annum for the remainder of the tenure. But 4% is being deducted upfront so u may use 5% to calculate it per annum. |

bolarine: okay thank you. That rate is good. Buying bitcoin just once with N2m when it dips will even cover the interest rate immediately |

braveheart234:Still 3 equal to 36 months. It is still the same, CBN cannot give you a loan of three months. Moreover there is moratorium of one year for those who choose 3 years. I may be wrong though, someone can still expantiate more on this. |
Re: CBN’s N50bn COVID-19 Fund Disbursement Begins Thursday by SenatorJChris: 6:22pm On Jun 20, 2020 |
kingbybirth: From your comments, I will assume you have no idea how government works. So you are saying that Nigerian government is only interested in making profit without regard to the welfare of citizens? Why then did CBN waive the requirement for guarantors? Whether or not the CBN recover the money is not your business and nobody here knows the criteria for selecting the beneficiaries. Even you that feels because you have a job therefore you are entitled to the relief fund, how sure are you to get it? The whole essence of this loan is to support Nigerians who are going through difficulties because of covid 19. Those that lost their jobs are free to apply and most of them will get it. |
