doitforyou: Jesus Christ warned you severely against the adopted styles of men...i.e. the doctrines and traditions of men as they only serve to nullify the power and blessings of God in the marriages that result. Jesus Christ urges us to choose to do all we do God's way, and not man's way, every single time so we can enjoy God's blessings instead of man's which really is nothing. Read the words of Jesus Christ to learn His truth. |

gbaskiboy: Bible truth made simple. But man complicated it with unnecessary burdens for selfish gains. I salute Reno Omokri's courage to shake this table as he earlier did on the Trinity GIBBERISH , and the EXPOSURE of Christendom's romance with pagan festivities of Christmas and Easter. stay safe. And Jah bless 1 Like |

Nuzo1: you are partially right. Govt does not wed anyone what they have is the marriage register meaning you inform the govt. if u dont it doesn't nullify your marriage that is where you are wrong. The only thing you missed if your marriage is not registered is legal rights if their are issues or if you want to migrate with your family. apart from that nothing do you ie there is no nullity |

ojtopsy: You are right. But we are not discussing marriage outside of Christianity. We are discussing Christian marriage here. Do a little biblical research, If the government is not aware, it's null and void in the face of God. |
Re: Reno Omokri Writes About Wedding, Christianity And Church by Kobojunkie: 2:41am On Jun 22, 2020 |
Nuzo1:I believe you have it backwards. Marriage is marriage in the eyes of God, whether man's government is aware of it or not. Remember, God blessed marriage before man even decided on governing himself. |

Righteousness89:This are the thoughts/reasoning of man which u are trying to impose on Christians, any thought/reasoning not supported by the scripture is null and void because at the end it will be used to suppress/oppress ignorant Christians. |

doitforyou:This is were you are wrong,God outlined to the Jews how to worship and conduct their service in the sinagogue in the book of Leviticus and the Sabbath was sacred to them as ordered by Jehovah but evidence showed that the apostles even had a pattern of worship and observed the Sabbath because Jesus didn't abolish it but Jesus put the Sabbath in a proper perspective from the height which the Jewish religious leaders had elevated it.As per religious holiday, the only holiday Jesus told the disciples to observe was the LAST SUPPER(Communion/passover) to be done in remembrace of Jesus. He never told any one to even celebrate his resurrection. So any other celebration observed by Christians(Jews not included) apart from the communion are all man made and therefore not scriptural. That is why I advocate for Christians to read their bible so as not to be tossed about by ignorant ,manipulative and devilish religious leaders 1 Like |

Nuzo1:U are very wrong,if govt doesn't recognize it,its not null and void in d face of God.Make sure you pay the dowry and whatever demanded by the parents and she is yours before God,if can't pay what d parents demanded for, negotiate with them for a common ground. For a example king Saul demanded for 100 foreskins of the Philistines from David for his daughter (Micah) and he provided it.Even if the parents are unbelievers whatever they demand, you must provide or negotiate with them for a reduction. |

stanat: Parents being aware and giving their blessings is the first part of the requirements which i never objected to. That is not even debatable. The second part which is as important as the first part is that the government must be aware of it. The Bible is not stupid to tell Christians to always inform or participate in government programs like this. Do your research, all the churches that wed people obtained licenses from the government. There's a reason why. Aside Christianity, no law stops anybody from cohabiting and raising a family with another willing partner who is of the age...... Government and family no get rights to interfere. |
Re: Reno Omokri Writes About Wedding, Christianity And Church by Kobojunkie: 6:07pm On Jun 23, 2020 |
Nuzo1:It is not even a requirement as far as God is concerned. No debate necessary! Nuzo1:A government license is not required by God to recognize a marriage. It is possible to marry according to how God stipulates, and then get a state-issued marriage license at a later date. Your churches are businesses registered under the government, and so are expected to register all marriages to the state. 1 Like |

Nuzo1:You are getting things twisted, there is no were in d scriptures that its stated that u must tell the government that u are getting married.Even if u don't register your marriage, the worst that can happen is that in the event of divorce or death certain rights you are supposed to enjoy or benefit won't be accorded to you.I think this kind of unregistered marriage is handled by the customary(native) laws in cases were dispute arises.Lawyers in house can give a legal opinion because I have seen cases like this play out in the court. |
Re: Reno Omokri Writes About Wedding, Christianity And Church by ojtopsy: 11:52pm On Jun 29, 2020 |
Nuzo1: If you like discuss pagan marriage . govt and church does not marry anyone get that into your head. you only inform them by registering through the registry for legal purpose even the church marriage register must be transferred to the registry go and ask your pastor. Your family gives you out not your church or govt. I know its difficult for you to grab due to long time of confusion and usurpation of responsibility by the church. Stop displaying ignorance by saying marriage is null and void in the face of God if govt is not aware, are you God or his angel? this is how overzealous stuff that Reno is trying to correct starts. |
