It could have been better handled. Madam could have pointed out those items she didn't like and negotiate downwards. If 3D cannot accept those reduced terms, then they both shake hands and move on.
Let's never assume we have a deal until we get the first alert.

All I can deduce from the posts read, is just childishness.

This is a damn faceless forum by which no one here is a judge, not even Seun Osewa can judge people's actions in the real world. The best he can do is to ban a user.

We've law enforcement agencies and law court where people can seek redress if they feel their right has been infringed upon.

Chekitaut has been called all manner of names (whether he wronged people or not) but till date, he's still very active and doing his business on the same platform he's been praised and also criticized. Meaning, we don't have judges on Nairaland.

Calling out people here doesn't worth it.

I bought a product from someone on this platform last year. The product ended up being defective. I came online, called him out. At the end of the day, nothing happened. I had to get the product fixed myself.

My lesson learned is that, if you're doing business with anyone you met online, have full details of how you can deal with them in the real world, using the prevailing laws of the state the transaction took place

We have reputable people here. Look at the dates below on this image. Those where me reporting clients on items left. The images recently here says it all. I don't want to go into the forum archive. Let the reviews speak for itself from well respected members here.

I'm a diesel supplier to companies,i have had client place order but I encountered a delay at depot ,finally when i got to his factory, he told me he cant accept it as he collected from someone else to continue production . I left with the truck , sold it at filling station with a loss of 500k . That means i need to go and pull down the factory with caterpillars for product rejection to talk of one u didnt commit a dime ,just mere discussion and recharge card .Go apapa depot and ask questions so u can see more worst scenarios

it can be painful sometimes when you have devoted your time preparing quote and all and at end of the day you didnt get to even hear from the client again!.

Last month, I also cautioned two members on same approach. This is not a court or committee. Therefore, the harder you try to label one another as Devil, the more clients and contacts you may lose from the Forum and their contacts. Fight that anger, confusion, misunderstanding with caution, and you both will be clinging glasses in the end. Gladly, no one was killed, injured or robbed. Just a split second reaction to a misunderstanding or misrepresentation.
Keep up with all your genuine endeavors.

I was actually waiting for the big exposé but didn't see it.
It could be painful when someone wastes their time and resources on site visiting on several occasions even when you suggest sending someone over but you are insisted upon and being gleaned ideas that are not even within the scope of the job description.
Contractors and suppliers would encounter these things once in a while. Like someone said earlier, it's when you get the alert that you actually got the job.
@ denniss3d. You could pass across your feelings and point with much lesser insulting words. Even with serious misunderstanding with a client or former client, it shouldn't degenerate into name calling.

There's only one party that stands to lose out in this case...

I was waiting to hear a design was used without consent or someone worked and wasn't paid for their services or something like that. So far, it doesn't appear like none of that transpired.

If you think its a bother and you stand no chance of winning the business, then decline the invitation to quote or tender. Simples!

Or if you want to cover your time and sweat spent on scoping a potential job and preparing a quote, then state as a pre-condition of engagement that you require some upfront payment before you even commit yourself... and see how that works out.

Let's be frank and sincere to ourselves sometimes. Too much diplomacy and political correctness masks the lesson sometimes.
