Jokes apart... You might have corona virus... It's part of the symptoms.

Very true.
A close friend is presently in isolation. One of her symptoms include loss of smell. She later came out positive to covid 19.

Thank God she is recovering now.

First check your sugar level, seems some people said it might cause loss of taste. If your sugar level isn't super high, then you may have to start thinking what I am thinking

Please dont cry. Call NCDC and get everybody tested. Do not leave the house. I repeat do not leave the house. That goes for everyone. So sorry this is happening to you. where do you live?

Diabetes DOES NOT cause this. He has got covid 19 and should be in isolation not walking up and down infecting people.

I never said anyone was diabetic, I said the sugar level may be through the roof. I've seen here on this platform some people complain about this same issue and when later they went to the clinic they found out that it was because of high blood sugar. Normally I would call covid-19 but it should not stop her from checking her sugar level just in case

Mehn! We plenty oh, its only metallic taste oh.

But if u ain't sick, like having fever, headache, difficulty in breathing, its not necessary u contact NCDC yet. This thing can be treated at home.

It kills mostly people with pre-existing conditions.

I have anxiety disorder. Does that count?

Nope, anxiety disorder is just a mental disorder, it's more of a feeling of fear and over worrying.

the preexisting Conditions I'm talking about are, kidney problem, lungs, and other vital body organs that have one problem or the other.

BTW, you're most likely to be covid 19 negative. So don't panic. By tomorrow evening, u should be okay.

I'm just saying what I observed on other treads. It may be covid-19 or surprisingly I just might not be covid-19. The likelihood is low but that doesn't totally eliminate there being other causes, and I'm sure you know diabetes isn't the only cause of HBS the loss of taste may be a symptom of one of those causes. Absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence

This is much too important to play devils advocate on. You are going to stop people getting tested. You never know who they are going to infect while trying to test for Diabetes as you have "advised" here. It may be you. I m not sure Nigeria has up to 100 ventilators or ICU staff. Just Just Stop Please.

To anybody reading this,Diabetes DOES NOT cause loss of taste and smell. DO NOT bother testing for Diabetes if you get this. Just call NCDC. Do not leave the house, repeat DO NOT leave your house.

I am having some hotness all around my body with thick mucus forming in my mouth.

No headache, I breathe fairly okay. What do you think? It comes and goes.

So so sorry love. I m seeing this late. It's very likely that you have Covid-19. Dont panic. Babies and young Children are usually fine. The worry here is you actually. Donot go out. Keep everybody's temperature down by giving regular ibuprofen and paracetamol. and baths in warm water.

Call somebody who ll be dropping off food for you.
Most importantly call your state NCDC on this number . Tweet at them . also instagram and facebook. DON'T WORRY.
