Sorry which is better in overall performance and gaming.

Snapdragon 720G vs mediatek helio G90T of note 8 pro
The more stable chipset is the 720G, however the G90T is no slacker in terms of raw performance in Gaming. It's a tough one but I would choose the 720G just because i prefer the better efficiency

I don't think it'll be today cos it seems it's only for global and India, but let's see how it goes. As for the bugs, it's a normal thing and the joy of the new interface will surpass the pains grin grin
but aren't there just two versions? Chinese and global.

Snap and send the screen, let's see what the issue is since it's not a crack issue.

The second picture is better exposed, and looks slightly less washed out than the first one. But overall they're quite okay considering they were taken with a powerbank flash.

The redmi note 9 pro is an allrounding beast imho

I have been following this thread back to back now. And I must truly say that Xiaomi won my heart. While I keep feeding my piggy bank with large chunks of cash. I do hope to propagate the gospel far and wide. I couldn't continue any longer as a guest. Coming from transsion this is an ascension to greater heights.

We know who you are. Try another format

Yeah, but it's not for me tho. I'm waiting for the Redmi 9 as a budget offering or to get one of the upcoming 10x with the dimensity chipset.

No I think there's actually 5, I stand to be corrected though, there's Chinese K20, then for global there's the main global, Indian, Europe and Russia ROMs but the hardwares for the global is the same just ROM difference, only the Chinese K20 has a slightly lower number of LTE bands.

I think they're testing the waters right now. They prolly wanna change things a little, but don't want to pick the wrong team. Hence the mix

Never had this issue. Is it switching to loudspeaker when the earpiece isn't working? Also do you have any pending updates? SS your about page.

What app can one use to backup his phone to restore back later, cos I know that unlocking the bootloader will wipe out everything ?

Compared to 2 years ago, Mediatek is not shitty any more. They've stepped up in the midrange section with the affordable Dimensity 5G SoCs. Snapdragon chips in that performance range are too expensive so they have to test the next best alternative.

I just hope I doesn't turn out like Samsung offering 2 different SOCs for same device but different target market. Because that's just a huge mess imho

Maybe you bought a faulty earpiece. Try another earpiece to see whether the problem will persist.

Yes, that's why I can't wait to see the performance of the dimensity chipsets in phones, will really shake Snapdragon shares if they get it down right this time with chip efficiency.

I don't think that will happen. Samsung needs to sell their in-house SoC. Xiaomi will lose money developing two different boards for one device. It doesn't make sense since they're not benefitting from it. If the SD option is cheaper and will perform, they'll use it. If it's MTK they'll use it as well. I just hope MTK releases their source code soon otherwise development for future devices will be almost impossible.

The Redmi 10X 5G is already a capable performer. You can check it out here.
