I wanted to say Computer Science but I won't coz your course of study may not necessarily bring food to your table, after school..
However, Computer Science grads will agree with me that the syllabus is wack and completely outdated.
I wonder what languages like Fortran, COBOL, PASCAL, etc.. are still doing in 21st century when you languages like Python, Java (Android dev), Swift, C# are being sidelined.

Anatomy ,Biochemistry and Physiology. There is no easy explanation . But here's a few reasons :
1. Undefined/Unrecognized roles: These courses are supposed to be disciplines on their own but are overshadowed by multitasking Medical Doctors. When you graduate and are filling some employment forms, you will realise that your course doesnt appear under any occupation. You are neither a medic, paramedic nor a health expert and you cant be called a scientist either.
2. It requires expensive tedious PG training to gain entry level positions.
3. Even after PG Studies, most institutions would rather employ MBBS,MSC,PHD than BSC ,MSC ,PHD in thesame field.
4.Many advanced countries dont offer BSc in physiology /anatomy
5. Biochemistry in Nigeria can either be a Medical or natural science depending on the uni you're attending. Employer don know where to place you
6. The courses are too bulky and complex, especially considering the fact that you'll not be using anything you learn to make money.
7. Add yours...

Op, it's so unfortunate... You seem to be Ignorant. It will be better you research on what Zoology entails and benefits to human, before you display your level of illiteracy to the world.

For me, all courses are important so far you are good at it.

On a serious not wild life has a bright future in Nigeria but I don’t know how soon the future will be. We really have too little platform for wildlife management and I know someday it would be something lucrative. As much as we don’t hunt all our wildlife. Someone must always take care of them. It’s just a matter of time.

GEJ studied BSc Zoology and became a President.

Of course, it doesn't always work that way but...

In response to the OP's last paragraph...
How many president do we produce in 20 years?
Even an unproductive dullard can become a president..Any course you don't really get to practice is useless to me...The education one will get in the course of studying those courses is fine but the course itself might be useless if you the likelihood of practising it is almost zero...

What impact will you add to the nation when you don't practice your professions. The same way some engineering dudes with their knowledge are unproductive.

sad

It is always money, money, money for Nigerians.

I still can't wrap my head around it. That's why all sorts of s#it keeps going down in society. And that is part of the reason we'll remain stagnant for a long time to come.

I remember a German [my brother's friend, actually] told me something some years ago. He said:

"Why do your people chase money so madly? It's just crazy. You guys are hardworking and all that but you somehow end up ruining everything with your mad rush for money."

That was a citizen of a first world country speaking.

Shouldn't we start looking at ourselves?
This is beautiful.
