Chinese Versions support lesser LTE Bands we use in Nigeria as compared to Global Versions.

Sealed Chinese version comes with Chinese ROM as well.

Finally I have joined the Redmi family after waiting for over a month. Today I went to pick up my RN8 4GB/64GB version from Jumia pick up station. I wasn't surprise to see the carton blue due to the fact that @genius has told me earlier that it will be a Chinese version with a global rom installed on it. It turned out to be true.

Abeg make una help rejoice with me from an Umidigified fan to a Xiaomified fan. If money enter hand I go upgrade to RN9 Pro but for now make I flex this small.

I changed my region to India, then I downloaded my fonts from the theme app on ur phone. And I changed back to Nigeria, that's all

2) search for "region"

3) change it from Nigeria to India

4)open the app on my pics below

5) search for any fonts u like and download

I heard this only works if ur phone is a global version, or so I thought

Hello guys, my 15 year old brother attempted to root the redmi 6A I bought for him on the 9th of July last year. However, the phone went off and didn't go on again (it just keeps vibrating when you plug it in, as if to charge it).
He says after following the instructions on the YouTube video, he didn't clear the memory of the phone i.e factory reset, as was instructed in the video.
Please is there any hope for him? Or is the phone gone for good?

First, tell him to hold power button + volume down and see if the phone will boot to fastboot mode.

No bro, when I said my pics I meant the picture i uploaded on my post

After changing ur region just go to the" themes" app on ur device

You can still side-load the playstore on Chinese versions
But just as he said, try and get global versions to avoid one or two issues
