Wow! I'm so going to try this. What kind of butter do you recommend for this, the soft blueband (which is a bit salty) or the harder one? So one doesn't need baking powder to make bread, I didn't know o
You can use President or Ambassador Butter. I actually used Simas Margarine. It's salted, hence no need to add salt to the recipe.

It's not advisable to use Blueband for baking. You don't need baking powder to make yeasted breads at all except one is making Banana bread and some special kind of breads

Hello Foodlanders!

This is my easy bread recipe made with the simplest of ingredients and detailed instructions showing you how to make simple coconut bread from the comfort of your home.
This homemade bread recipe can be made by both beginners and pro bakers. Let us go a baking! cheesy

The aroma of freshly baked bread gives that unexplainable joy. Don't be afraid to try this recipe as a beginner. The recipe is pretty easy to follow.

Step 1: Assemble Your Ingredients
Below are the ingredients you'll need to make this yummy bread:

• 2½ cups flour
• 3 tbsp sugar
• 1½ tsp active dry yeast
• 1 cup warm coconut milk (you can use normal milk)
• 3 tbsp margarine or butter
• 1 egg
• About 2 tbsp shredded coconut

Pics 1. Shows some of the needed ingredients

This is lovely.
First of all, can I use normal milk instead of coconut milk ?
Cos I don't have access to coconut milk, I mean maybe use powdered milk and mix with warm water,

Secondly can I place the dough on the tray inside my oven, ?

I swore never to attempt it again. But with this your method, I can only but try again make I prove my family wrong grin

You can extract the coconut milk yourself by simply blending the coconut. Then pack into a cheese cloth and squeeze hard to press out the milk.
