Contrary to widespread impression, a dispassionate analysis of recent political events surrounding Adams Oshiomole would reveal that his gains are more than his losses. Let's take a look.

A. If Gov. Godwin Obaseki had secured APC nomination for second term and eventually won Edo State governorship election, the following would have been the situation of Adams Oshiomole:

1. 'Promotion' from being a suspended member to an expelled member by his own village ward.
2. Loss of membership of APC.
3. Loss of his position as APC chairman.
4. Attainment of status of political pariah because there is no guarantee that Gov. Wike and Sen. Saraki would allow him near WADATA House.
Conclusion: Four losses, no gain.

B. With the current developments, the following capture Adams Oshiomole current situation:

1. He has his candidate Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as APC governorship candidate and has been able to repay the debt of support he owed him.
2. He is still a member of APC even if Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu fails to win governorship election.
3. He has lost APC chairman.
4. He still has a platform for future political aspiration, most likely Senate.
Conclusion: That's three gains and one loss

The truth is that Adams Oshiomole was driven by SELF-PRESERVATION. He fought for his political life. It is more like kill the 'snake' because if you don't, the 'snake' will kill you, anyway.
devote more time in analysing your life the way you just did that of Oshiomhole and see if you won't make it in life.

Maybe Buhari personally saw it as a big opportunity to remove the party structure from certain people.

I once said that Obaseki will be a difficult nut to crack because he is not like Ambode who thought his loyalty and patience could get him the second ticket.

Don't mind hypocrites. Loan he took at the twilight of his administration. He started attacking Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who refused to approve the loan until APC came on board and approved it for him almost at the end of his tenure. Obaseki is still paying for the Gbese. Let's not talk about Edo University Iyamho which he built across his palatial residence in his village.

And he did all that @ the expense of AAU Ekp. Don't forget what he did to the lecturers of Ekiadolor. He successfully ruined that institution all just because he's building a school in his village.

you and your fellow ipob could not tell me how is oshomole a godfather.

obaseki was disqualified because of his certificate. so how is oshomole a godfather?

oshomole never demanded money from obaseki and obaseki never appointed oshomole loyalist,
so how is oshomole now become godfather.?

PDP that demanded for 10b naira for their worthless party ticket and to share appointment 50/50 are the real godfather's.

I still insist that it is only in September that we are going to know the real winner between Adams and Godwin.

The most important thing in Oshiomole's life right now is not the chairmanship but to stop Obaseki from winning a second term.

The most important thing in Obaseki's life right now is to win a second term.

There can only be one winner. And in this case;

from a man who could make sitting governors of all APC controlled state to kneel down and beg him for their political lives to running for senate? hmm you make me laugh

As things are right now, Oshomole can not even win a Councillor election in his home Etsako Local Government in Edo State

WHY - because he does not even command the loyalty of his own ward executives grin

You do not seem to understand the level Osho has sunk to - A man who was destroyed at his ward level is a political liability to himself and any party he decides to join. The man goofed big time - he is a typical example of the parable of Jesus - "you are complaining about a speck of wood in your neighbor's eye when you have a log of wood in your own eyes"

He was hell bent on destroying Obaseki that he forgot to watch his back and his ward - it is like a man who cannot control his own family but seeking to control 100 families in his home town! OSHOMOLE IS A DAMAGED BRAND AND NO POLITICIAN SEEKING SUCCESS WILL WANT OSHO TO CAMPAIGN FOR HIM

Just wait and see how Ize Iyamu will distance him from Osho in the coming days and weeks before the election

Had Oshiomwole any other choice

but accept?

Fulani-led north is further reshaping Nigeria to Fulani desires by using instruments of government.

Fulani is playing far ahead of southern politicians, right from when Fulani used northern military dictators to create too many states in one northern region of Nigeria.

Southern soldiers were at the AFRC then when the states were created but they didn’t understand the implications- political over-representation for the north led by Fulani.

Oshiomhole Accepts Dissolution Of APC NWC, Pledges Loyalty To Buhari

The suspended National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has reacted to the dissolution of the party’s National Working Committee.

Briefing journalists on Saturday in Abuja, the ex-chairman said he has formally accepted the dissolution of the party’s NWC under his leadership.

Oshiomhole, however, pledged his loyalty to the ruling party, saying that his loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari remains unshaken.

According to him, the real test of his loyalty is not when things are going smoothly but when things suddenly become rough.

“Of course, we have now been dissolved and I have accepted that dissolution in good fate. I have always assured the President of my loyalty.

“I know it is easy for people to speak of loyalty when the going is good but loyalty is brought to the test when the going gets really tough,” he said.

He also expressed his joy that the APC under his leadership was able to work hard to ensure that unity returned to the Ninth Assembly.

Oshiomhole added that the emergence of Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has helped the executive arm of government to succeed.

His remarks followed the dissolution by the APC National Executive Committee (NEC).

The party’s council took the decision at a virtual emergency meeting, based on the recommendations of President Buhari.

Meanwhile, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has been appointed as the chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Buni was sworn in by the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami.

Similarly, Senator John Akpan Udo-Edehe was appointed as the secretary of the caretaker committee.

OSHIOMOLE ! Continue to pledge your loyalty to your FULANI SLAVE MASTER !

You scatter Edo state for over 2 years in your fight against Obaseki.

NO RESPECT FOR THE GOOD PEOPLE OF EDO STATE.

NO LOYALTY TO THE EDO STATE PEOPLE AND ITS TRADITIONAL INSTITUTIONS.

NO RESPECT FOR THE OBA OF BENIN OR THE OTARU OF AUCHI

You were an AREA SCATTER.

Now that TINUBU your slave co-traveller has been chained by the Fulani cabals you are here pledging fake loyalty.

Buhari was very unfair to Oshiomole with his decision to dissolve the NWC.

He has asked everybody to withdraw their court cases but this is far from a political solution. A political solution would have sufficed.

This party can never be united again because Giadom and his camp are happy with the dissolution while Adams and his camp are unhappy about it.

When 2 kids fight for a toy and an adult takes it from them both, the real owner of the toy must feel agrievied while the kid who doesn't own the toy would feel happy and satisfied.

In finding a political solution what Buhari would have done is to realise that only about 7 out of over 20 ward members suspended Adams from his ward.
This singular act of injustice should have formed the basis of Buhari's decision.

He should have asked Giadom to withdraw his case against Adams based on the fact that he was suspended by only 7 people.

This should be the political solution since his aim was to take the cases off the courts.

I have been anti-Buhari for a longtime as you all can verify by my postings but even the devil sometimes will mistakenly do something good
I fully support Buhari in his latest move to clip the Wings of Oshomole and the Tinubu group tormenting the party - Do you know all APC sitting governors where scared to their bones because of the precedence that Tinubu and Oshomole were about to set in the party? They werre trying to impose themselves as a mafia in the party - and if that trend is established then a great chunk of the state budgets of first term APC governors will end in Oshomole and Tinubu's pockets or else they will unleash the AMBODE TEMPLATE OF COWARDICE on you - BUHARI has analyzed the whole thing and he just saved the country from tyranny of TINUBU and OSHOMOLE

This has nothing to do with Fulani political marksmanship - let us call it for what it is - GREED, BLACKMAIL and IMPUNITY!!!! - and Buhari just saved our democracy, although, maybe not intended by him - but he did.

No no. Don't shift it like that. Godwin lost the APC ticket, Oshiomole lost the chairmanship. Godwin has been able to turn his loss to gain with the PDP ticket and the ouster of Oshiomole. It is left to see if Oshiomole can claim a victory by seeing Godwin lose in September. Even at that, he has been demystified. There's no way he can claim total accolade for that victory if it were to happen in September.
You can't decide for Oshiomole what is most important to him between Godwin's defeat and APC chairmanship. That sounds like equating him to a suicide bomber.
I'm sure if Oshiomole knew that his engagement with Godwin will lead to the loss of his seat he won't have dared it. He's more or less like an irrelevant person now even if Osagie wins.

I am not a perfectionist neither am I blinded to criticize just one party and ignore the other - no one says politicians should not influence others in decision making - it is politics - and you have to separate it from god-fatherism

a politician seeks to have his or candidate win an election, a god father does same- THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE GOD-FATHER WANTS TO ENSURE THAT HE ALONE CONTROLS THE OFFICE HOLDER THROUGH OUT HIS TENURE AND RECRUITS THE NEXT PERSON TO TAKE OVER TO CONTINUE THE CYCLE - that is what we are against - that is a mafia and politics is the business of the people not the consent of an all powerful overlord!

if Wike is guilty of that, and he shows that trait as brazenly as OSHOMOLE and TINUBU did - then he too must be disgraced sooner than he thinks!!!
