John 14:15, Jesus says “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
If you love God, you will want to make heaven at all cost so you can spend your eternity with him.
If you love God, you will denounce money, your parents and everyone around you, just to worship him.
If you love God, the thought of not seeing him after death will make you cry.
If you love God, you will be ready to lay down your life for his sake.
If you love God, you will do his will.
If you love God, you will rather starve than steal. Actually, God won't let you starve. By his Grace, I AM A LIVING WITNESS. If the birds of the sky have food, what more you his true love (matt 6:26, 7:7-11)

If you claim to love God and continue committing sin, you can be likened to a man who beats and sleeps around with other women, but claim to love his wife. That is a toxic kinda love.
If you truly love God, it will feel like the way Romeo loves his Juliet. You won't want to hurt him and can even die than betray him.

Actually, many people grew up loving God but finally found themselves in the toxic kinda love because the gods of this age has blinded them (2 Cor 4:13). When there is life, there is hope. If you are in this group, please repent today for tomorrow might be too late. I get am before no be property.

JourneytoEL:

Yes, your life (spirit and soul) is the most important thing to God. And obedience to his Word, is the first rule of heaven and faith.
1 Samuel 15:22 says, But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
It is better to obey the will of God with faith than to run the most successful ministry in the world.
i love the place u said the "will of God"

you stated that " If you love God, you will denounce money, your parents and everyone around you, just to worship him" with all due respect I think you are wrong, the Bible did not ask us to denounce money it only talked against the love for money over the love for God and same Bible did not asked us to denounce our parents and everyone around us. in the ten commandment God instructed us to honour our mothers and fathers not to denounce them, the only thing is that don't love your parents more than how you love God, if your parents wishes, desires and what they teach you is contrary to God's teaching you must follow God. Again the Bible did not teach us to denounce everyone around us. Jesus instructed us to love our neighbours as ourselves, in another place he said love your enemies and pray for those who hate you.
Re: Can One Be A Sinner And Still Love God?? by lekki1444: 9:35am On Jun 28, 2020
first of let us define what LOVE means to GOD

john 14 vs 15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

AND SO FROM THAT VERSE WE SEE GOD EQUATES LOVING HIM WITH KEEPING HIS COMMANDMENTS

and so in conclusion it is impossible to LOVE GOD and be a breaker of his commandments( because sin is a transgression of his commandments )

Can a man be a sinner and still fears, love and believe God?

Yes he fornicates, he lies but he fears God.. He believes there is a God that lives in heaven, he believes that there is judgement. He hopes to repent one day.

For example; a man that start stealing because he is poor and has family to feed.. He has tried many things but not working for him and he result to stealing.. In his mind, he loves God but situation won't make him stop stealing... He fears the repercussions of sin but he can't stop but he hopes to stop it one day and be forgiven..

He is not happy seeing himself steal and disobeying God command but he has no alternative bcox he has to feed his family... Lets just say he is sinner of circumstances (if he had money, he wud nt have stole to eat. )

Question is: Can a man love God , fear God, believes in God but still sin?

If anyone can answer this too;

Question 2; Can a man life be precious to God more than the ministry?

E.g: God told Mr Ifeanyi that the ministerial work that he has been appointed for have been given to Mr kunle because Mr Ifeanyi life is more precious to Him (God) than the Ministry.

Can a man life be precious than the ministry??
I will give u a very brutal ans as d Lord lay in my heart.
You asked can a sinner not all sinner, maybe 1 out of 20,30,50 or 100.
The ans is YES.

Righteousness/holiness can b a gift and it comes with pride"that's why d Bible says righteousness exalt a nation but u see sin is weakline.....sin is a bondage even him God knows.

God has different view on a sinner from d view of men, remmber a sinner not all sinner.

A sinner can love God 100% Now rember when u got born again all ur character didn't just changed at a spot,it went step by step ok

God has away he deal with us individually I.e
"Grace"
No sin bcoz u see another pesin dey sin o

My dear, when you are talking about sin,try to distinguish it from mistakes which as humans we can make but as a Christian in this dispensation of grace, it's very possible to live above sin n that is d reason Christ came. I hope this help:
1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Daniel, Joseph, Enoch and our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. It's very possible to be perfect. If you hunger for it, you can b a god in this world. Don't follow the general mindself of people that say ' we are fish and we can do without water, we are monkeys, we can do without trees and bananas'.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. Shalom
COdeGenesis:
As humans, committing sin is inevitable. That is why the bible said that anyone who says he has never sin makes God a liar. At one point or the other we sin, but it may not mean we do not love God. We just have to be sober when we sin and ask for forgiveness

We're humans and bound to sin.
I love and believe in God but still sins atimes, does that make me not love him?

He who haven't sinned let him cast forth the first stone.

David and solomon sinned still the former is the man after God's heart..

Christains of nowadays are extremist.
Re: Can One Be A Sinner And Still Love God?? by Reference(m): 9:45am On Jun 28, 2020
No, absolutely not. Love is not a feeling. Love is sacrifice, a state of spiritual unity with God. You cannot be in two states of the spirit at the same time. You cannot serve two masters. You must despise one, and when you sin you despise God. How can that be love. You are giving up nothing to show you love.
Re: Can One Be A Sinner And Still Love God?? by COdeGenesis: 9:48am On Jun 28, 2020
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Sin is sin. There is nothing like mistakes

When Jesus was teaching us how to pray, why do you think he said we should ask for forgiveness of our trespasses? No one is above sin as far as I am concerned. We as humans must still sin but we have to ask for forgiveness and mercy from God.

TOPCRUISE:
Even prostitutes do praise and worship for success in jamming the right customers.
Scantily dress ladies will enter church seduce, distract and twerk before congregation. Yet they will say they fear God. And if you scold them they will say that God looks at the heart and mind in worship and that they still love God than you do.
That's a lie they carry about

I know of some Pastors that say and do terrible things behind closed doors and will still claim they love God.
The person that loves God is one that has a conscience.
The person that loves God obey his words and instructions. Disobedience shows you don't love him and counts you a sinner
The popular verse To obey is better than sacrifice also implies that if you sacrifice when you are expected to obey is tantamount to disobedience which result into sin.
a believer ought to know and recognize that men have their own doctrine, any trend which doesn't align with the word we know it's the doctrine of men and of course stirred up by demons.

Lol. Boss.... Na just opinions i get o

The bible is explicit; if you love me keep my commandments.

A person that continues to deliberately go against the wishes of God cannot claim to Love and fear God.

Love is sacrificial. Love should move a person to make sacrifices for others. The sacrificial proof of the love of God is to keep his commandments.

But a person can believe God, trust God and even make many sacrifices for God; evangelism, church, kingdom financing and still not be willing to give up certain things for God.

Thats irresponsibility but it doesnt change the fact that the person believes in God.

Jonah balak solomon were people who knew God very personally but still chose to disobey God because they just couldnt give up certain aspects of their lives for God.

Re: Can One Be A Sinner And Still Love God?? by HeavenlyHolines(m): 9:58am On Jun 28, 2020
The word trespasses there doesn't necessary sin which is prevalent or common. There is talking about father and son relationship not creator and creatures. Let use bible to juxtapose it.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. The verse one said 'if' which is a conditional word that means by mistake you derail, you can always come back to the cross and that was why God told Abraham about perfection. Which is very possible in ur daily work with God. Read about Daniel n Joseph, there was no faults or errors found in them.
1 John 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. Here its talks about sin not unto death. This very one is different from the common sin. Just like the case of Peter when he denied Christ, Christ didn't judge him instantly coz he knew he was a weakling but he did such because he wasn't bold enough although he loved Christ but after d baptism of fire,he never did. Such incident strengthened him to become perfect
COdeGenesis:

Love is more than a statement or feeling. It is all a responsibility.

Yes it is possible to love God and continue to sin if u do not understand what loving God entails. Also if u the required knowledge.

That said we are human. Bt if u say u love God and continue in sin it is not love u lack, u lack knowledge and knowledge is power.

The poor man in ur example who continues to steal does so not because he lacks love for God or lacks money bt cos he lacks the knowledge required to get himself out of poverty.
Re: Can One Be A Sinner And Still Love God?? by karo93: 10:02am On Jun 28, 2020
For the second question; If God actually said so it may mean that the person was unable to attain the right stature and maturity to be effective in ministry.

Such a person will enter ministry and fall into diverse temptations; women coming for counselling, deceiving people for money, embezzling funds...

God would rather keep such a person out of ministry instead of him to go in and destroy his life.

Apostle Paul gave many criteria for appointing bishops and leaders because its possible for an immature and unprepared person to enter ministry and ruin both his life and the work of God.
Re: Can One Be A Sinner And Still Love God?? by Saynotoapc(m): 10:03am On Jun 28, 2020
The answer to the question is simply Yes.

We are all sinners, forget matter.
No matter how he/she claim to be holy we all still ask for forgiveness Everytime we pray.
The world is full is sin, while we living here are all sinners.

E.g: God told Mr Ifeanyi that the ministerial work that he has been appointed for have been given to Mr kunle because Mr Ifeanyi life is more precious to Him (God) than the Ministry.

Can a man life be precious than the ministry??

First question answer:

1 John 1:5-10
6. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Mind you, confessing your sins doesn't mean declaring to God that you committed such and such sin (then proceed to return to that sin, as many Nigerians are accustomed to - the Catholics practice this).

Confessing your sins means seeing them as God sees them - as LAWLESSNESS WHICH IS WALKING IN DARKNESS and as something to REPENT from
. Emphasis on REPENT.

Simply put, God insists that we STOP disobeying him. That we sacrifice our natural desire to sin(disobey his commands)

You cannot sit and stand at the same time.

Question number 2 answer.

The idea of 'having a ministry' is really a tradition of men. At the least, the phrase is a making of men who desire to reduce God's high calling to 'offices' men can lay claim to.

Truth: God has called us to every good work. It doesn't matter what you do for a living. Your ministry/service to God is to create spiritual value for all those whom He sends to you. When you are filled with the spirit/word of God, you will find yourself gravitating towards either, preaching, teaching, helping, exhorting, evangelizing, praying, healing and/or whatever thing God wants you to do through his Spirit. You don't need some denomination and a following to confirm that you are serving God.

FInally, your service/ministry or spiritual works of righteousness to God, by Faith through his Spirit will speak for you after you leave this earth. You will wear them as your white robe, reflecting the righteousness of Christ while u were in the flesh. Remember, doing good to 'the little ones' is doing good to Christ and he will reward you for it.

Overcoming sin/mastering the beast and serving God through every good work/ministry ARE THE SAME in God's eyes. Neither is more important than the other. They are one and the same, just as Christ and the Father are one ; just as walking in light and not sinning are the same.

Be a living sacrifice, do the will of the Father who is in heaven, master the flesh/beats and be GODREADYMADE.

Chai I am done. Trespasses means sin.Stop turning the bible upside down. There is nothing talking about Father and son relationship. It is about us accepting that we are sinners and confessing our sins to God so we can be forgiven. I repeat no one is above sin. Do you know what it means to go a day without sinning or a year with all the temptations. No one is without sin. Stop quoting plenty bible passages to justify what is not. Aby you no dey connit sin??

Self righteousness and justifying sinful deeds are not of the Spirit of God. The book of
Romans says we must not continue in sin because of the grace of God.

The Bible also warns, that they that must make mention of Christ must depart from iniquity.

A single man cannot be more important than the ministry.

Christ came because of the ministry....the ministry for the salvation of the soul of mankind.
We can also take examples from the apostles:they spent and were equally spent for the sake of the ministry.

If God replaces you in the works of the ministry, then He is reserving or preparing you for a greater work in the ministry.
We can find such in the scriptures where God set aside some of the apostles for other work in the ministry

So what is ur conclusion sir
i don't know but let me let you know something the fact people go to church doesn't make them Christian... there is a god of men(yeah, that which exist in men's imaginations, the one they pray too who doesn't hear... the one a yahoo can defraud a fellow and says "god's grace cover me",the one a pick-pocket was escaped lynching can say na god save me etc... you know lots of talks like that and there is also a God of the Bible same way there are demons and fallen angels (demonic gods) who of course daily interfere in the affairs of we mortals.so,the God of the Bible who rules in the kingdom of men ways is supreme and absolute, no adding and removing from his ways... I have seen cases where some claim they are praying to G(g)od using salt, in that instance they are praying to the god of men,but if such prayer is asked to be prayed by a priest then they are praying to a demonic god...

so all I'm saying in essence is that the ways of the Lord aligns with the Bible no adding nor removing.

another, the god of men is the non-existence one atheist and those who don't want to follow his ways claims doesn't exist, you can't find him when you want to be doing as you like, it doesn't work that way, that's why those that have found ways always seem illogical to those who still fix their gaze on the physical world... cos if you follow his procedure in the scriptures by seeking him with your whole heart you will definitely find him and you will know he doesn't do what you want but what he wants and knows is best for you ma.
