adecz:My goodness, you're a living, walking indictment of the failed Nigerian educational system Did you not hear me tell you we have been producing cement in Sokoto for the last 50 years? Who do you think have been minting the millions before Abdulsamad bought the Cement Factory? Aliens? I'm asserting to you that we have several Cement multi-millionaires & billionaires in the North that made their fortune from the limestone under our blessed northern soil, across the spectrum of the value chain. Not to mention the hundreds of agro-millionaires in the North. As for my education, without tooting my horn and sounding immodest, I've been privileged to have the best money can buy. Literally. Continue to stew in your stark ignorance and severe delusion. It's your right.

ifiokjohn:you are free to believe in lies and fallacy that your brothers from the east influenced and concoct since you're all in control of the media for now... Every region have poor people and rich people They're millions of people in the east who are extremely poor...some Beg to survive, Some sell pure water, while some engage in menial job to survive. But your southern media is only telling you they are only people in the north. We have poor like any other region in Nigeria But still have the richest in every part of Africa |

PapaBrowne:I guess you did not read the part that said the project would be by BT (Build & Transfer) where the funding will 100% provided by the contractor. BTW Nigeria was once described as a country floating on Gas with a speck of oil; which sufficiently indicated the relative abundance of untapped natural gas (some of it also in the north, especially the Benue Trough); that could be utilised not just for generation of electricity (as you wrongly concluded) but as well for many other uses, including fuelling of cars & generators (after necessary conversion), cooking and powering of present and future industries. Note the project is part of a national network covering the whole country; the AKK is the one covering the north; while those covering the south are either completed or in the process of completion. |

Arrewa:If you say hundred of people in the east that are extremely poor I will agree but when you say millions of Easterners, I disagree. How do you mean the Easterners influenced the Stats from a reputable international Organization and there are even stats that are from Nigeria Govt agencies which are controlled by the Fg. are there influenced also by Easterners? Yes we have poor people in other partNigeria, that is not a lie but the north accounts.for over 70% and that's should tell you something. The time you use in calling the east backward, use it to talk to your governors to improve the standard of living in the north. let me use my state Akwaibom for example, 12 years ago we were backward and with a very poor Standard of living but today we are in the recently released top 5 states with one of the highest standards of living in Nigeria. Yes my Governors have not done enough but we are at the right track and are 80% satisfied with them and we need more.recently apart from Lagos, we have been having more FDI. Over 5 industries are being Constructed are have been constructed in Akwa ibom state like the syringe factory, the coconut factory, the pencil factory etc. it means we are getting better and facing our own business. Let me give you a bit of advice. instead of insulting the east, spend time in building the image of the north and you will see much more investments from the private sectors coming in. If you check the net about anything even Akwa ibom, there are always nice things and it a good image for my state cause it has brought it many investments. I just recognize what a good image does for a country and for a state recently but am very sorry the North lacks it because of the Insecurity in the region |

ifiokjohn:I don't know the kind of brain You people really have down south... Let me ask Is north a state?? North is a region With 15 core Nothern states... Why is it that if there's killings in Zamfara, Borno or kastina you will be shouting north instead of mentioning the state that is affected?? Kano state is one of the most safest state in Nigeria... Because they're killings in zamfara villages, kastina villages, maiduguri villages and southern kaduna doesn't mean trust the whole 15 northern state is unsafe... Southern media propaganda is making it look as if the word north is one single state!! You're from Akwaibom... I have been to Akwaibom apart from airport and good roads and stadium there's nothing good to write home about Akwaibom cos the backwardness in that state is legendary... Thank God for this present administration... But your state still have a long way to go As for all this fake stats... It doesn't imply the reality on ground... The north is developing and we are not as poor as the media portrayed us to me... You people should stop consoling yourselves with fake stats The north is naturally ahead |

Arrewa:Ok o. believe your lies. now I didn't compare Akwa ibom with any northern State, am comparing the standard of living of Akwa ibom with even Kano and you will know what am saying. Yes we have a few roads and stadiuma and all that but we have a relatively better image. Yes all the 15 northern states might not be bad but what we are saying is that, Small issue especially religious and before you know they have started killing. how to you mean southern leaders concorted stats? it isn't the East or the SS that controls the media, it is the west. Yes, we just started seeing development 20 years ago compared to Kano and KD that have been there for ages, but we are contributing very well. Today if you check.most developed states in Nigeria, Akwa Ibom is in the top 5. Most neatest states we are also there, most beautiful statesz we are there. most peaceful states, we are there. Every nice thing you will say about States in Nigeria, we are there. So I don't see how any state apart from (Kano cause of it economic development) is better than my state. Check the ranking done not only by Nigeria's organizations but also by non biased international organizations and you will see us there. We might be majorly a civil service state today but even in that, we have a higher standard of living than any state you will bring forth in the north. You can create a trade for that and compare standard of living in Akwa ibom and Kano or Kaduna no |
