The public spat involving the wife of late Senator Ajimobi, Florence, and the Seyi Makinde-led Oyo State Government is yet to abate anytime soon.

A twitter user, Segun Awosanya, @segalink, had praised the Oyo State Governor for not yielding to the emotional blackmail of the Ajimobis.

Seyi Makinde is God's gift to the people of Oyo state. Constituted authority made pensioners suffer for their own money, refused to pay lautech staff and was still expecting to be revered as a god. Makinde is re-writing all of Ajimobi's poor imprint on Oyo state. The family should be mourning the loss of their patriarch, not throwing words at a governor that's busy with developing and keeping Oyo state safe

Ajimobi from hearsay was excellent in his first term. Seyi Makinde seems to just be vocal on social media. Even with just a year in office, it's almost evident Seyi might do more of "audio" Governor.

The reason it looks like Ganduje has performed more than most governor is because of the physical projects he is carrying out in the state and it has been discovered that the kickbacks he and most state governors collect from projects as well as the overinflation of the project cost is mainly the motivating factor.

There's no real policy making that has affected positively the standard of living of the average citizen in that state.

He's as much a failure as his counterparts in other states.

Ajimobi actually was above average in his first term. I was in Ibadan during that time and can testify.

Seyi Makinde is just a year into his tenure, slowed down by Covid-19. But nonetheless, there's hope for him ONLY if he can surround himself with professionals and not politicians, technocrats and not sycophants.

It's his call.
