I don't know why y'all be treating anime like work. There's no law that says you have to watch it at a stretch. Watch as much as you can, take a break, continue later. I've been at episode 208 for a couple of years while I clear some other titles on my list. It all just depends on whether you like the anime or not.

in this time where anime series are like 12-24 episodes, it starts getting good about 5 episodes in. While for those long running one it starts getting good at about 20 episodes or more. So the problem is watching it long enough to gain interest.

Anybody aiming to watch any of the big shows should already know what they're getting into and where they, at least, aspire to reach. My target with Naruto was Pein arc. My target with Bleach was Yoruichi Vs Soi Fon.
Needless to say, before I even got to those places, I was already hooked.
All I'm saying is, if someone wants to watch One Piece, the last thing that should deter them is the number of episodes.

Yeah it’ll be worth your time. The first half starts out slow but it gets better in the second half
