Guys I've been thinking... When will new intakes come in? My bet is October. But then success mails would have to be sent by September.

They can round off everything by Aug and still send offer letter that same Aug and resumption for the first batch September. It's visible. Mind you, inter state ban have been call off.

Which mail are we talking about here. Is it a love letter mail or the one of success to the next stage?

They may not take many people this time as a result of the economy downturn and oil price that affected their clients. What happened in 2016 recruitment MAY repeat itself....

Except they need few FY associate as a result of little staff turnover that could result this year because of the pandemic (as most of the current PWC staff will be reluctant to leave now), the afternath of the pandemic on their client will have little effect on their initial plan regarding the number to be taken.My assumption here is m with or without Covid 19 pandemic, companies need to have their financial statements audited. Hence the need for PWC assurance service. Similar explanation goes for tax. For Advisory, the story might be a little different sha.

You have a good point, but I also know quite a number of people that have left these firms before the lockdown started. All in all lets hope for the best
