So I ran into an old school mate of mine sometime last week, she was my roomie, very reserved and bookish.

While I and my friends / other roomies were very social and went to the occasional club parties, she was always indoors with her books and well, I guess it paid off cuz she graduated with a 2.1 while we struggled with 2.2.

Back to when I saw her, after exchanging pleasantries we reminisced about school days and I was shocked to hear her say she envied my days in school, like she wished she lived a more social life, I was so surprised I on the other hand wished I was serious and concentrated more on my studies, maybe just maybe I would have graduated with a better grade.

We both laughed at the irony of it all and this made me wonder ; do we all wish we did things differently in the university when we look back?

My school days was bliss! I was the life of every social activities back then in Malabor Republic. I had the words of one very great writer in mind, 'Colleges and Universities are not education itself but a MEANS to education'. The social and rugged life i led in school gave me all the education i needed. Nope no regrets.

Okay, I wish I had join an organisation like JCI,UN youth forum or something since 100l, I wish I had been a convicted church member, do go to church but not in any wing/ dept in the church(remember those that only come to church to listen to the preacher and then go home


I regret not being brave enough to make some exploits sexually and financially.


But hey,I'm not done, lemme wait for this break to be over and resume.



One thing I also regret is not being manipulative and persuasive, I lose interest easily and it really affected some parts of my life

for me. I can't say I have any regret or not but one thing am sure is that achieved the exact goal I set during my university days. Though at times I do feel that I would been a millionaire if I had pursued the business opportunity I had then, but I realized that business wasn't part of the goal I set.

Enjoyed my undergrad days, right from our first year the lecturers drilled into our ears that uni was not all about books, we should experience life by building networks, doing outdoors and this did spark my interests in hiking and wildlife.

Yes.lasu slowed my education down..I could have achieved more and not be on this level.

School or No School, everything still boils down to the question "WHAT IS YOUR PASSION". It's shocking to know that some people don't still know the meaning of this. School will help you but it can't guarantee you...

2,1 (2%) 2,2 (17%) third class (50%) pass (30%)

The interview session was boring. No ideas about what they are looking for, I jokingly asked one about BB naija and that was it.

Don't be misguided, some "Nigerian undergraduate relationships" are very much beneficial to both parties academically, emotionally, financially, and in the path where they acquire relationship maturity and wisdom.

Certainly, not ALL Nigerian undergraduate relationships are shallow. At least, mine is not and that alone faults your assertion.

Not taking full advantage of my celebrity status... I was like an A list celeb... Heck! Was even well-known in a couple of other universities then. Guess I was too reserved or maybe too busy trying to balance up academics and the entertainment industry...

2 things...
1. I had plenty babes dying over me (was very social but still finished with a first class, topped my department) but was doing good boy dating one virgin girl, no sex relationship. 3 years kwa. Less than 3 months after grad (waiting for nysc) babe broke up.

Made up for the missed smashes during service , but sometimes remember the premium babes that were there for the taking.

2. I coulda cut down on my social life and started hustling in the Uni. Woulda graduated a millionaire. Wasted time (but again, I'd still be chasing the money as I am now and woulda missed out on some cool memories.)

Las las, it is what it is for everyone - we all want something that another person has/had. The thing you are regretting is what someone else is wishing for. There's a man tired of that woman you are crushing on and vice versa. There are some rich people(unlikely Nigerians sha) who will give up all their wealth to enjoy the simple, contented lifestyle of an average working class man. All about perception, which itself changes over time. (as illustrated by this thread)
