All these things can't stop.. The government is too corrupt.. Until we are ready... things will keep on getting worse.. The only solution is for everyone to arm themselves with weapons n start a revolution.. its only violence that can change a bad government in Africa.. Don't talk abt voting d right ppl coz d right ppl are not dirty enough to be in Politics in this Nigeria.. If we split.. d corruption will be reduced greatly coz ethnicity won't be a problem anymore.. we will be left with religion, looting... to deal with.. 1 Like |

Omooba77: There is only one reason for the docility displayed by the youth of this country : Everyone is scared to die! But I ask : if you can't stand and fight for your own rights, aren't you as good as dead We are all playing dead and we have no one to tell us. The youth of this country are cowards and their oppressors know this. |

[quote author=Omooba77 post= Please if you have been brutalised by police; tell us your experience and what can we do to put an end to this menace?[/quote]Nothing, if this people brutalize you, dedicate your life to crime, buy arms and wipe them out, the only thing power respects is power. Only then will the government take the citizens serious, violence is the only language they understand. |

ProfAmaben:Achieve!Archive!! Archive!!! bro u never achieved Nada. you believe been rich or wealthy amounted to achievement. when u have no right in your own country. when you can get hit by stray bullet from the people being paid by your tax to secured you. when boko boys could bomb ur church or mosque any moment from now. when you fall sick hospitals aren't well equipped to cater for your health. when elections results are been written by INEC, not the vote u casted. traveled through Ore-Benin expressway, you will need more like Gods grace to escape those kidnappers and robbers, not to talk of those Fulani bandit. even your bank is not secure, with all the machine saying 'welcome to ......bank', is ur police station even secured? bro, any body who call him or herself achiever in this country is hoodwinking himself. being, achieved have nothing to do with money you have. And if someone have the money and doesn't see any thing bad in this country that ought be to change if not for himself but incoming generation.,(like the lecturers extortions) sorry that man or woman is not only poor but weakling. 3 Likes 1 Share |

dontai: I know that there's a fundamental problem in this country, but my brother, can I change it? Africa hasn't gotten to the level of dreadlocks and tattoos without raising suspicion from the police or SARS, that's an indication of a messed up society. I'm just advising guys that it's better to be safe than sorry. That doesn't warrant you calling me poor or wretched in any way. Not boasting, I made my first million at 17 and I have never been poor all my life in all honesty. |

ProfAmaben:bro that's just the drill, you are fuelling illegality with ur utterance on dreadlocks and tattoo. You said u can't change things but you're aiding police brutality because u feel tattoo and dreadlock is a no-no for you, does that made it a crime? we ought to be bind by the constitution of the land, not by our emotions, sentimental, religion or belief. I ain't calling you poor, I'm just baffled u belief ur not tattooing or no dreadlock is a saving grace. you ought to see bankers and teachers picked at random. But why are we quick to labelled tattoo or dreadlocks un-african.(though they have space in our history), but its African for a dark lady to become White over night. All I known that's African is, is our 'cowardliness'. 4 Likes |

dontai: Personally, I love tattoos, not the Oshodi or Computer village types, but quality tattoo like those A-list stars own but our society hasn't gotten to that level yet. Therefore, if anyone wants to avoid trouble, it's better to stay clean till you fly outside. Meanwhile, most guys with tattoos and dreadlocks are bad boys and criminals in Nigeria. I don't know why but statistics seems to be against them. If I'm a police man, once I see you with tattoos and dreadlocks, you would be a suspect because many of them are cultists and criminals. I don't know why but it's the bitter truth. 3 Likes |

ProfAmaben: This logic is flawed and morally bankrupt. I'm surprised that an "educated achiever" can think this way. I've found that this habit of rationalizing crimes common amongst Nigerians -- a lady gets raped (oh, she dressed inappropriately or she was dating two friends or she wasn't supposed to be out at that time), someone gets harassed ("he deserved it, look how he's dressed". It's embarrassing that you all have to pontificate your prejudiced thoughts and think it's supposed to be the norm. We have no hope in this country because people still think like this and not only think but say these things out loud and rationalize them, so it has become our reality and will remain status quo. You sir, are part of the problem you claim to prefer a solution to 1 Like |

We dey always close the gate leading outside ni Even for broad day light, This people are making life difficult for us.. No one is talking abt it.. The government are also turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to it. Nigerians to me are bunch of Lilly livered people And besides, I'm sure their activities are politically backed, Imagine... A poor student coughing out the lil change he has on him just so he wouldn't sleep overnight in a cell.. Will the suffering ever end?? 1 Like |

Only few faced reality and said the truth. Reforms won't work,at least fast enough. And forget about an agency disciplining errant officials. Most erring officers only get pat on the hand & get transferred. Including the military. If we all stand against them together like they do in the north, their notorious activities will reduce. When they know they can be lynched, harrassed or outrightly killed by those around in defence of the victim. But I guess it's only one part of the country that has that ability. 1 Like |

Miyachi: Hahaha, you are always quick to point fingers rather than understanding with them, just learn how to absorb information first before commenting. I'm not saying that tattoos are bad or anything, but going by Nigerian statistics, most guys with tattoos and dreadlocks are into various vices. The Nigerian badboy mentality is that after blending, the next thing is tattoo and dreadlocks. Carry out a personal research, go to the nearest police station, you would see pictures on their notice board, go to the armed robber section and view the criminals. Kindly watch out for their appearance then agree or disagree with my hypothesis. I may be wrong or right. I am not part of Nigeria's problem in anyway. I am not directly or indirectly responsible for police orientation. I have never held any public office apart from SUG in my university days. 1 Like 1 Share |

dontai: Hahaha, yes I agree that I may be wrong. Shekau is not a southerner and his level of exposure cannot be equated with those from the south as the northerners are highly religious and conservative. That aside, anyone with tattoos naturally arouse suspicion especially ladies. I haven't seen any decent girl with tattoos but I have seen numerous prostitutes and club girls with tattoos. Only a handful of decent guys have tattoos but a huge number of touts and criminals cum Yahoo boys have tattoos. The ones with teardrops on their eyes are extremely deadly and if I'm a police officer, I would shoot them on sight. Teardrops in most cult groups signify how many people the bearer has killed (fell). 1 Like |

Police brutality, harrassment and extra judicial killings will end in Nigeria the very day an innocent son of either the President, Vice President, Senate President or the IGP himself is gruesomely murdered by this same blood sucking demons known as SARS... |
