Yobe State Governor and Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Mai Mala Buni on Thursday led members of the committee to the former governor of Lagos state and National leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in its bid to achieve reconciliation in the party.

According to Buni’s spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, the meeting is currently underway in a bid to chart a new course for the party.

“Those in attendance include Kebbi state Governor and chairman Progressives Governors Forum Sen. Abubakar Bagudu, Niger state Governor, Alh. Abubakar S. Bello and Lagos state Governor Babajide San-Olu,” he disclosed.

The Committee, had earlier met former interim Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande. The APC was thrown into leadership crisis following the suspension of Comrade Adams Oshiohmole as the National Chairman and the endorsement of Victor Giadom as Acting National Chairman for two weeks by a court.

However, majority of the National Working Committee (NWC) members appointed the ailing Deputy National Chairman, South, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, as the Acting National Chairman. The National Vice Chairman South South, Hilliard Eta, was subsequently appointed to act on his behalf.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, led by President Muhammadu Buhari dissolved the NWC and appointed Governor Buni as Chairman Caretaker/Extra-ordinary convention committee of the party.

To pass a vote of confidence on him as their permanent National leader, snap with him, pretend to listen to his advice, and laugh at him when they return to their hotel rooms

. Good move. Very good

People are under estimating who tinubu is.
Most of the top politicians will attribute the rise to the influence of tinubu.

Fayemi was just a lecturer in Ghana. Tinubu made him gov.
Osibanjo was just a lecturer in lagos and a SAN. Tinubu made him commissioner and vice president.
Aregbe was a nobody, tinubu made him a commissioner and a gov.
Fashola was brought to tinubu, as a nobody. Tinubu made him a gov.
Ambode was a nobody too. Tinubu made him a gov.
Dapo became a gov with the influence of tinubu.
A police officer became a king because of tinubu
A lot of politicians in Abuja got there due to his influence.

Man has a way of turning small fishes into bug ones.
No politician can boost of something of this nature in Nigeria.
Most of them always bring up already established persons as commissioners, ministers Nd govs
Tinubu is different.

It seems Tinubu is tired of making kings, he wants to be king and this is his last chance. However, some strong factors are not in his favour.

1. He's a Yoruba Muslim
2. He has power and relevance in SW, but he got it by force. (Not the kind and magnitude of affection Yorubas had for the likes of Abiola, Awolowo, Arisekola Alao etc)
3. His loyalists are slowly fading away. Osinbajo is becoming closer to his boss, I guess he has the presidential ambition too. Aregbesola has his ambitions too and seems not to be as loyal as he used to be.
4. Northerners/old CPC guys are trying to get the major positions in APC, and some southerners seems to align with them since it will satisfy their own ambitions too.

Everyone knows Tinubu is a "master strategist", so anything is possible. Let's watch and see how the drama plays out, and vote for the best candidates when it's time. God bless Nigeria.

Tinubu made a grand mistake supporting buhari in 2015 despite knowing fully well that buhari is incompetent to lead naija to the promise land. With so many quality and world class personalities we have in this nation, it still baffles me how tinubu decided that bubu is our best option. Now the country is in shambles, insecurity and poverty reign supreme in the land. The only way out for this country to avoid total collapse is restructuring or peaceful separation.

See below why they hate Tinubu and are always eager to show support to those who oppose Tinubu within his own party.

They will argue with you that he is irrelevant, yet they acknowledge his worth inadvertently.

They are actually hoping he will fight back so the party is destroyed for their own partisan benefit.

Can you love someone who is singularly responsible for breaking your backbone?

So they must bring down Tinubu who smartly has avoided their backbone, so their aimless threats appear only as hushed whispers.

manuelreports:
I taught by now for the Singular act of sidelining him and his boys from a party he single handedly brought victory to, he would have declared war and possible scatter the party and move away with his ACN faction

Igbo man thinking for Yoruba politician that they claim is irrelevant, yet they are hoping on him to destroy APC for them.

To what end?

So they can eat in the night when they did not work in the day, and wasted 16yrs of national life even to the extent of looting the funds for their own uncompleted party headquarters.

Though am not a fan of Jagaban but that nigga is very intelligent when it comes to politics. I think Nigerians are angry with him because he engineered the downfall of Jonathan (failure) and brought Buhari (failure) to power.....

The reason Tinubu is so hated shows you that success attracts so much enemies.
The man has never said he was the best, he has never called himself the greatest politician and for crying out loud he is human and would always make mistakes

Tinubu still remains the Jagaban. Guess his silence could not be underestimated. He isn't a noise maker like others. They could make use of more social distance.

Pigidiot will be so pained seeing this news.

Those saying TInubu was visited just to console him are pained wailers. The question is why didn't they visit Oyegun when he was removed as APC chairman.

Let them keep crying grin
