Bought mine at 138k. But to be fair bro, it doesn't cool so much as expected. It does a pretty good job but not as mad as expected.

Bro please whats the update on your thermocool genpal Ac, is it cooling well enough as it supposed. Cos mine is not cooling even when i set the temperature to 16 on the remote and fan speed at maximum instead the Ac will be reflecting another different temperature on the body.

I really dont know how @thecommunist gets his own to work. My is new, less than a month now but doesn't cool to my taste. I use the original tec stabilizer of 40k sef. Had the installer and vendor to come take a look at it and they confirmed it's ok.

I guess yours is as ineffective too and it displays the room temperature.
I would have just gone for the normal Panasonic ac

from the remote, press the botton that has the fan logo/drawing , the remote will show the fan with an arrow whose length indicates the speed. keep pressing until the arrow length reaches the full lenght.
Thank you so much for response. I have done everything and the temperature keep going back. I just wanted to find out if yours stays at low temperature of 16. Also, the brass does not freeze, it cools. Please how can I make the temperature to be static instead of fluctuating? I awaits your response. God bless you.

Mine stays at 16 or whatever temp I set it to. I think the problem that you cannot get it to stay at 16

Your unit is most likely having panel problems. The panel can be repaired at Bornu way, Yaba for like 4/5k. But it must be removed and re-installed by a knowledgeable HVAC tech to avoid stories that touch.

it's better to take it to thermocool if you still have your one year warranty

Hi everyone who is having issues with your cooling unit. Something just came to mind. It is very likely that the gas leaked during installation. Get a competent AC tech to refill the gas and then check for leakages along the brass pipes connecting to the indoor unit.

Do I also need to get a bigger stabiliser.. maybe this one currently use is not giving it more power as required
that stabilizer is enough to power 1 to 1.5 HP AC

what the indoor unit is showing in the current room temperature. that means your unit is not performing well. or maybe your room is too big.
Re: LG 1.5hp Gen Cool A/C by fineboynl(m): 6:53am On Jul 05, 2020
I normally advice people to get the more rugged Traditional AC. they are strong and last longer. inverter is just like new modern cars with too many mechanical and censoring issues that is too complicated and once problem starts it never going to finish.

this new inverter in Nigeria market are made with low quality materials that can easily get spoiled. they don't cool well and only perform during dry season like harmattan. but raining season they will struggle to cool.

you guys forgot to ask theCommunist the room size he is using. to compared that with yours.

traditional AC can be repaired cheaply even at it dying age if there is problem. but inverter you only enjoyed it during its first 3 years to 5 years. traditional AC from good brand can last up to 20 - 30 years with good maintenance. generator is not good for AC it will kill it compressor faster that's if you are buying because of generator. if you are buying because of electricity bills or advance mechanism that fit your needs then
fine.

also inverter may seems economical but on the long run. the traditional AC wins in terms of total money spent. beside the new entry traditional AC has reduce electricity usage unlike 20-30 years ago. get original Panasonic or LG or Samsung traditional AC If you need something that can go 20 to 30 years and cools your home's well with cheap minor repairs.
AC need more than enough power to properly cool your house. that's why they need 230v and more amps.

but inverter at most 5-10 years with expensive repair. most people abandoned their inverter as the repair cost is too much compared to getting a new one. so the choice is yours.

i'm using LG Traditional AC. from the older brand modern not those new brand which quality have been reduce due to market competition. it's durable and mad it coldness.

wrong! What the indoor unit is showing is the temperature you want to attain...it's called setpoint.

I'm suspecting that your AC is not an inverter AC. And I also suspect that the remote is the wrong one that is why you cannot set it below 33'C. Try to get another thermoccol AC remote and see if it will work.

I always see people do sell their better AC for inferior inverter coz of prepaid meter

Make I give una one scope

Like me I'm using the normal Traditional AC that's not friendly with prepaid meter

What I did Was.. I contracted an electrician to help me connect the AC direct to Nepa light without the landlord knowing or anyone

So I they flex my Traditional AC without prepaid meter

I plan on connecting my washing machine to direct light

Sense won't kill me

it's a lier. indoor unit only shows the room temperature and that why it's fluctuate. it's only the remote that shows the set point.

You know this is bad right? The electricity distribution companies are private businesses that employ people like you and I. If everyone does the same thing you did, do you think they will remain in business?
