Bro, it's not the government's responsibility to support people who have a business idea. Just because someone makes a contraption doesn't mean the government has to reward the person. This is a capitalist society, not a socialist one. It's not the government's business.

If the contraption provides enough value, what stops him from getting investors and mass producing to turn a profit?
