XXLMANDIGO: Hi. How are feeling now? I've noticed that people that are introspective and overthink tend to fall into depression more easily. Everything has to make sense and any slight clog in the wheel lead them spiralling down. I was like that as teenager and was in a search fior meaning. Everything looked meaningless and there's nothing more depressing than finding out early-on the meaninglessness of it all. I was able to defeat it by just living. Not thinking too much and not caring. Ingrained in me from that time was the fraility of man. We'll all go. We'll all die. We'll lose those we love and they'll lose us too. That's us what it all comes to eventually Death doesn't scare me. I've embraced my fraility and the fact that life is a journey that moves so fast. My advice, don't spend so much time thinking but spend so much time living. For example. If you live your life in a foreign country with no access to the native food you love. The day you eventually come across it, you'll savour and eat it with reckless abandon. You're not worried on whether or not you'll see that meal again. You just throughly enjoy your meal without much thought. That's how you should enjoy life my friend. Do all the fun things you've always wanted to do. Make friends and just live. Having great finances is good but to me, it's only secondary to the most important things. 2 Likes |

XXLMANDIGO: The truth is that you are the one fighting yourself Your mind and brain are playing game with your whole body and your emotional being and you allowed it to happen Take your child to your parents if she is not living with the mum or you, this period to look after for you so that you can be free from that end and concentrate on yourself Get yourself a girl friend, start a relationship with her and make her a friend not really a sex partner People are into relationships to have a friend and a companion This life is full of troubles and loneliness so don't wallow your self into it even married couples are lonely in their world of marriage If you can't open up and tell us exactly what is wrong with you then follow the above advice |

What will get you out of a depressive state is in you sir, just like peak milk. Exercise to get the blood pumping if your health can allow it. Maybe you haven't had a good sex in a while or do you think your XXXX stuff can't handle it or it has been reduced to XX or even X size. You need to increase your endorphin, dopamines and the oxytocins with a nice sex romps, sir. Sex can be therapeutic, you know. If you still needs your babymama then be the bigger person. Facetime your family members and friends. Go to social media and create controversial topics that you are familiar with. Arguments you have won over and over again in the past. It will keep you busy until this wave of depressive state passes. Go online, facebook precisely and search for Dave Chapelle shows, Kevin Harts, Trevor Noahs etc and have a good laugh. Take a trip if you can afford it. Visit friends and let them do the talking. If you are a catholic or moslem or whatever, i'd suggest you go to the chapel or mosque and sleep for an hour. The tranquility, the silence and including the perceived feeling that a supreme being knew you are there is kinda reassuring and uplifting. If it becomes so overwhelming, you can seek out the helps of professionals. I wish you well. 1 Like |

There was a time i felt depressed to the point I got used to it. Though na dry pocket cause am. But then it was as if i was cursed, nothing seem to be working. I kept pushing yet nothing. Three people dreamt that i committed suicide so when i get to the point of breaking, I'll just remember the dream they had and smile. (I go shame u satan) was my every day confession. One day God proved to me that i wasn't cursed. Just a period of trial. |

Much thanks for this. Like you live right in my mind. Your words are so apt and resonate with my inner depth I am a professional going through tough times & most of my efforts has been futile. I don't need too much to get back on my feet again, and to be a doting dad to my beautiful daughter. I need whatever support I can get before I get fatally depressed Peace666: |

XXLMANDIGO:most cause of depression in 9ja is simply money related. I'm yet to see a wealthy person who's depressed here. Simply look to the light, be positive. Bad times never last. 1 Like |
