If the gas is going to europe, and countries like Spain and France are benefiting from it they will make sure that their source of gas is not damaged, do you not understand that. Why do you think oil in Syria is still working. America is protecting the oil, because it benefits them greatly, and they have signed a contract with Siemens which will allow for more electricity to be on the national grid. It includes expanding the national grid to 25 000MW by 2023, which is when the akk gas pipeline and the electricity power plants will be finished, so ultimately they have planned it out. |

donguutti:Algeria and Morocco already have existing subsea pipelines to Spain. But they dont have enough gas to meet European demand. I agree with the Op to an extent; if the medium term plan for the AKK pipeline isn't to get Nigerian gas connected to Europe, then the economic viability and priority of the pipeline is questionable. |

Omooba77: Point of correction, not all however Bottom line is investments are going there and money pouring in there far more than other zones. whether donor countries or not, they all see potentials |

Demdem: NIPC did not independently verify the authenticity of the investment announcements but is working on tracking the announcements to facilitate their progress to actual investments,” the commission revealed. |

Omooba77: So how did this negate what i wrote earlier? again, bottom line is more interest from investors is now towards the north based on available records than anywhere else. making Gas accessible is and will surely brighten up further such prospects. |
Re: Nigeria’s AKK-Pipeline Project Lacks Economic Viability by Omooba77: 10:26am On Jul 20, 2020 |
Demdem: NIPC has not confirmed the investments. It is good if Lagos and co are decongested. |
Re: Nigeria’s AKK-Pipeline Project Lacks Economic Viability by Demdem(m): 10:35am On Jul 20, 2020 |
Omooba77: Yes but the same NIPC has tracked more investment to north than anywhere for now pending final verification. av u asked urself why initial tracking didnt lead more investment to south than north? u are just moving in circles in an already lost cause. |
