POI will not allow a man from Edo Central to succeed him because of those behind him e.g Oshiomhole. I'll tell you why.
During Oshiomhole 8 year tenure:
Governor--Edo North
Deputy -- Edo South
Principal Actor - Oshiomhole

Oshiomhole successor in 2016
Governor -- Edo South
Deputy -- Edo North
Principal Actor - Oshiomhole

Oshiomhole anointed candidate in 2020
Governor -- Edo South
Deputy -- Edo North
Principal Actor - Oshiomhole

Now my question is this why hasn't Oshiomhole picked anyone whatsoever from Edo Central for any of this offices whereas he is the king maker. The history has revealed he will not reason Edo Central in this life time.

Being rejected in Agbede does not mean that APC is rejected in every part of Edo state. I am convinced that APC will win Edo election come September. All the social median propaganda can not make Obaseki wins the election.

You are quite correct. However, If Ambode had read the handwriting on the wall early enough, he should have taken some preemptive actions/build his political structure. Can you imagine what would have happened to Obaseki if he hadn't refused to swear in the State House of Assembly members loyal to Oshiomole? He would have been impeached even before the APC gubernatorial screening.

Comparing Ambode and Obaseki is not fair at all .
To set the record straight, Ambode fought alone. The deputy, commissioners , house , LG chairmen ............... All deserted him and left him all alone .

Ambode contested the primary and lost out, he failed woefully in the primary, going to PDP was not an option because he understood quite well that Lagos is APC stronghold.
Obaseki on the other hand was not even given the chance to contest the primary, so he has the sympathy of the populace.
Pls note that am not a politician, I'm just stating my view hence am open to being schooled.
