The National Bureau of Statistics reports that 24 percent of households in Nigeria do not have sufficient soap to wash hands to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

A report released on Tuesday by the NBS also revealed that seven percent of households reported insufficient water for washing hands.

“The most readily available COVID-19 preventative measure is washing hands with soap and water; however, insufficient access to soap and water for washing is a hindrance for some households,” the report stated.

Analysis of the report showed that 73 percent of respondents reported wearing a mask and 77 percent washing their hands all or most of the time after being in public.

“The vast majority of respondents practice safety measures to minimize the risk of contracting the virus,” the report disclosed.

When a majority of Nigerians are living in hunger and abject poverty, what will they be washing their hands for? Unfair suffering in a country with plenty resources is never funny. Poverty is not an accident, it is man made and can be removed by the actions of sane leaders.

What palliatives did you provide for Nigerians as regards to Covid-19?

Private school teachers , have been out of jobs for months now ...a sane country with an educated leader who is not lifeless , should have made provisions for palliatives for those teachers , or are they expecting the proprietors who haven't opened school in months to be paying them salary ....
NDDC is using billions of naira for palliatives within 6 weeks , ordinary Nigerians are hungry and dying ...and you're talking about washing hands..
There's the kind of condition you face , that death becomes a luxury to you ....
