I Sanction this move, in fact, add Caballero and Emerson to the deal along with Kepa. Also, we would need to spend atleast 150m in addition, to build a working defence.

Who told you? It's like you don't know a goalkeeper can last into even his 40s.Ask mark schwarzer and Buffon.Defenders and goalkeepers are mostly the last to retire.But even if Chelsea sign oblak with that shitty defence they will go nowhere.

What is this one saying ? Oblak is the best keeper in the world now . I’m a Man U fan and I wanted us to get him . He makes incredible saves and hardly makes mistakes

Oblak is a decent goalkeeper, but Chelsea must not forget that Oblak has a better, and more dedicated cover than Kepa which contributes to his shine.

So, it is not just about getting Oblak.

You definitely know nothing about football, a goal keeper of 27 is still relatively young. Goal keepers have the longest careers as far as football is concerned.
Keepers like vandersar hit their prime when they were above 30.

When Liverpool signed Becker for then world record fee for a goalie, Chelsea made Kepa the most expensive forgetting to fix the leaky, shaky and staggered defence which made Kepa vulnerable to conceding goals like there's no tomorrow. Alisson hit the ground running cos of Liverpool disciplined back line and colossus Virgil van Dijk. If Oblak must fit in at Chelsea, their defence must be fixed or it's going to be another version of Peter Cech that left Chelsea for Arsenal and concede goals almost at every shot on goal.

Are they now blaming the keeper---Kepa for their lost against? Why not strengthen your defence and talk to your defenders.

Even if he buys Oblak, it is still gonna be the same just like Kepa. Chelsea players are always moving forward and not returning back as soon as they lose the ball to their opposition.


Atletico Madrid has a very good defence which makes them harder to net a goal against them. When the defence is good, keeper wouldn't be pressurised.

At one of Chelsea's matches, there was a time Rudiger was complaining of others not returning when they lose the ball to their opponent. This should be looked into by F. Lampard.

He's a goalkeeper na. He has at least 6 years, he would be 33 at that time.
Though this news might just be another one from the rumor mill, Chelsea could fix their backline in two ways.

Persist with Kepa, he must have done something good in the past to be worth 72m, then get good defenders to cover him and let him build his confidence.

Or get rid of him and get oblak and at same time, get good defenders too.

I personally prefer the second one, which won't be difficult. ATM are due to pay Chelsea about 60m for morata.

Kepa is baby-like, fragile and timid just like many players currently in that team, Chelsea need to reduce that. They need more commanding and dominant players, especially at the back, and oblak fits the bill.
But more than anything, I'm glad Chelsea won't fall into the Koulibaly trap.
